Continuing with the Hard Candy Makeup kick that I am on currently, I want to share with you my thoughts on the Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Tropics. As I already mentioned in Revlon Contour brush review that I love contouring and bronzing, I picked up this baked bronzer from Hard Candy to try out. I really like the ‘baked’ makeup products as I feel the makeup brushes pick the correct amount of product because of their dome shape. So let’s see if this product met my expectations or not.

My Experience with Hard Candy Tropics Glow All the Way So Baked Bronzer:
If you notice, the name of this product is quite confusing! It says this product is a bronzer but it also says ‘glow all the way.’ So according to the name, this baked bronzer from Hard Candy is a glow-y bronzer!! This intrigued me a lot and I thought I should test it out and see if it works for me. Hard Candy does not claim this baby to be a super matte proper contour powder. It is claimed to be a bronzer that provides a hint of bronzed color for a sun-kissed look.
Packaging: This Hard Candy baked bronzer comes in a round compact with the dome shaped product pan. It does not come with a mirror or brush. It has a silver shiny rim around the top of the lid, which mentions the name of the product and also the brand name. The compact in which this product is placed is super sturdy and the lid closes with a click sound. It does not come in a box outer packaging, but has a seal on the opening of the lid which assures us that the product has not been messed with. I like the packing a lot as I don’t really care about the brush or mirror and since it is sturdy enough and travel friendly.
Colour and Pigmentation: The shade Tropic is a beautiful light brown-ish shade with peach undertones. It has a beautiful sheen to it which by no means is frosty or shimmery. It is not a matte bronzing powder at all which it does not claim to be either. I would say this product is more of a highlighter than a bronzer! I use it as a ‘bronzer topper’ to blend my contour powder well and add glow to the face.
Texture: The texture of this bronzer is extremely soft and smooth. It’s like a buttery finish powder, if you know what I mean. Since it does not have any shimmers in it, the texture is not gritty at all. It offers a beautiful sheen to the face and blends like a dream.
Longevity: The staying power of this baked bronzer from Hard Candy is average. It does stay on the skin for a good 5 hours but after that it starts to fade away like any powder with a sheen will. Since I use it over my powder bronzer, it does fade away after a while. But I am not complaining as all products of this texture and consistency will behave the same. Also it serves my need well so I am happy.
Quality: The overall quality of this bronzer is pretty good. It does what it claims and stands true to them. I like using this product when my face looks dull or on days that no matter what you do, you look like you just woke up – sleepy and tired! It adds back life to the face and makes it glow-y and beautiful. It definitely offers the sun-kissed look that we all yearn for. All in all, I am quite impressed!

Hell yes!!! Who does not want a glow-y complexion with a subtle highlight and that gives a sun-kissed look to the skin? I would recommend this product to all and I am pretty sure everyone can find out how this product suits them the best.
