Hola, senoritas! I’ll tell you now that I am incomplete without this shampoo. This is my third bottle of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo 🙂 This line of Clairol’s Herbal Essences shampoo has been in the market for a while now. For my frizzy, moody hair I picked up the Herbal Essences moisture range which has a ‘fusion of orchid and coconut milk’ in it. It smells heavenly, fruity and not overly coconutty. The fragrance lasts for a little over a day unless you use post-wash hair products.
It is a big bottle containing 355 ml and is priced at INR 179. I have seen a tiny bottle of this in the Heritage supermarket (Bangaloreans will know) in case you want to give this a try. I bought the big bottle the first time and I never regretted it. And yes, the shampoo is light blue in colour. The Herbal Essences moisture range has a conditioner as well as a shampoo plus conditioner [2 in 1]. I used the shampoo plus conditioner and that combination did not work on my hair.
I love the simple, curvy packaging . It is a translucent bottle so you know how much product you are using. Also, the writing on the bottle is amusing! On the front it says, ‘Let me soak it to you’. On the back,
‘Repeat after me: I’m so quenched. It’s time to take every strand off dry land. Replenish your pretty, parched head with my formula fused with essential moisturizers and orchid & coconut milk. It leaves hair silky and supple. Want more moisture where I come from? Seek my happily hydrated conditioner.’
I for one will not ‘seek’ the Herbal Essences conditioner hereafter. But I’m beyond satisfied with the shampoo! It does what it says – makes your hair soft, shiny and silky! I switched to another shampoo after I finished my second bottle and I regretted it. I recently got a new Herbal Essences bottle and this is now my HG shampoo.
According to the Herbal Essences website, the science behind the shampoo goes like this – our hydro-activated silkening ingredients infuse strands with moisture, leaving them soft and smooth without all the build-up. Help say hello to hydration and help say goodbye to dry hair.
Pretty fascinating! They have shampoos for coloured hair, curly hair and straight hair. You cannot miss the huge colourful bottles on the shelf – pinks, greens, purples, blues.

Cons of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo:
 On certain very hot or cold days I need to use a post-wash hair product if I feel shampooing is not enough.
