Hi all,

I was searching for a matte, brown lip stain and came across this matte lip tint from Inglot. Inglot lipsticks are of great quality and I really wanted to check this lip tint out. I was a little skeptical as many dark lipsticks look patchy on lips. Read on further to know whether this Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte 18 impressed me or not.

My Experience with Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte 18:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black paper box, in a tube with a black cap attached to the applicator. The transparent, glass tube looks sleek and classy. You can actually see the color and microshimmer through, which makes it very elegant. Overall, the packaging does justice to the price.

Color: This is a beautiful deep neutral brown with a hint of warm tone. It is not a reddish brown though. It is like a mixture of 51 percent of red with 49 percent of blue. I hope I have explained the shade well enough. There are super tiny shimmers in the gloss. You can see them in the tube and also on the lips if you see up close. They look so pretty and prevent your lips from getting a dead matte look. This can be an everyday shade for richer skin tones and a not so scary deep brown lipstick for fair to medium toned women.

Texture: I fell in love with the texture when I saw it inside the tube. It is not a matte, mousse lipstick. It looks like an oily liquid in the tube. This actually helps the lipstick to blend evenly and smoothly on the lips in one go. It feels super soft and comfortable on the lips. It does not look patchy either. It is not too drying or heavy and feels very comfortable. Although it may feel a little sticky if you press the lips together, it is completely transfer proof and also waterproof. However, this lipstick will go completely wrong if you wear it on dry, chapped lips. It will cling to the dry patches and end up looking clumped up and messy. Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well before using it.

Pigmentation: It gives full, opaque coverage in one go which is a great thing for my pigmented lips. I generally use 2-3 layers to intensify the color, but if I want an everyday look, one layer is just fine. Also, layering does not make it look patchy, which allows me to do it without bothering much.

Staying Power: This one stays on forever if you do not eat anything. It survives water and dry food items without any budging. However, eating saucy, oily foods will make it fades unevenly and I prefer wiping it off with a tissue and reapplying again. If you wipe it off, it will leave an even, brown tint on the lips which I love. I use oil based removers to remove it completely form the lips.
