Of late, I was searching for a good henna powder. I love using natural products for my hair so, I bought the Khadi Natural Herbal Natural Henna – Senna/Cassia. Let’s get into the review.
Price: Rs. 220/- for 100g
Khadi Natural™ Herbal Natural Henna (SENNA/CASSIA) this is a perfect conditioner for your hair. It can be used on all types of hair and for all types of hair colours; because it does not dye your hair but only improves the colour and structure of it. Senna also makes your hair glossy, strong and soft as silk; and conditions your scalp, too.
My Experience with Khadi Natural Herbal Natural Henna – Senna/Cassia:
Khadi Natural Herbal Natural Henna comes packed in a plastic pouch. The outer packaging is a sturdy, tin jar which is easy to carry around. Inside the jar, there is a small paper that bears all the product-related information. Overall, the packaging is hassle-free.
The henna powder is light green in color and has a fine, powdery texture that easily mixes with water. The instruction is to mix the powder in warm water; it takes a few minutes to mix into the water completely. However, I mix the henna for few more minutes to make a thick paste. You can adjust the quantity according to your hair length. Then, I separate my hair into equal sections and apply the mixture onto my hair with a hair brush. I keep this henna for an hour after which I rinse my hair with normal water. Since it is a raw powder, I also use it with other DIY hair packs too. The henna powder has a herbal smell to it.
The henna paste is light green in color but, it doesn’t leave any stain on my hands or skin. So, it is safe to use. After rinsing it, my hair looks healthy. The henna makes my hair soft and smooth. It provides a decent hydration but, if you have really dry and damaged hair, it won’t work well in repairing them. On my normal hair, it works well and makes my hair smooth. It also adds a nice, healthy texture to my hair, which I love. However, it doesn’t add any shine or super smoothing effect to my hair.
After my trip, I faced a serious hair fall issue. The henna powder reduced my hair fall and made my hair strong. Only henna and water can’t treat the dry hair, but when used with any other DIY product like yoghurt or egg, it works well by providing sufficient hydration to the hair. It also moistures my hair and keeps it smooth for long. However, I need to use it once in 15 days.
The brand claims to provide a golden tint to your hair. I have naturally light reddish brown hair and it only adds a reddish tint to them or I can say that it highlights my natural hair color in a better way. But, it doesn’t add any color to my hair. Maybe, it will work better on women with light colored hair. Otherwise, it adds a healthy and bouncy texture to my hair. Overall, it is a good product.
