Today, I will be reviewing Kylie Matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Kristen.” This shade is named after Kylie Jenner’s mother Kris Jenner. So, let’s see how this shade fared for me.

Kristen is a warm brown berry. The Matte Liquid Lipstick has high intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry your lips out.
My Experience with Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick Kristen:
Packaging: The packaging of Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick is very chic. The liquid lipstick comes in a standard lipstick tube with the signature black lipstick dripping. The name “Kylie” is mentioned on the side of the tube. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Kristen.” The tube has a glossy black cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot type. The liquid lipstick comes housed in a white cardboard packaging with dripping lipstick which is the same colour as the lipstick. Overall, the packaging is very nice and travel friendly. You can easily carry it in your purse.
Shade and Finish: “Kristen” is described as a “brown berry” color and it is indeed a very gorgeous warm reddish-berry shade with a hint of brown. This colour will complement all Indian skin tones. This shade is a perfect everyday shade. You can easily rock this lipstick for a day or night-time look. The finish of the lipstick is super matte.
Texture and Application: The texture of Kristen liquid lipstick is very thin and liquid-y. The lipstick applies easily on the lips and spreads evenly. It does not apply patchily. It dries down to a velvety matte finish within a few seconds once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors during application, you can easily correct them. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a sweet cupcake fragrance to the lipstick. The fragrance is not very strong and disappears within minutes of application. Once the lipstick dries down, it has a smudge-proof and budge-proof finish. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve flawless finish. The lipstick doesn’t dry my lips for around 4 hours. However, after the 4 to 5-hour mark, you do feel the dryness on the lips. This is an issue with most liquid lipsticks, but I feel seeing the price, the formula could have been better. I apply a lip balm prior to my application and after removing the lipstick.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It imparts full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 7 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. You can also easily touch-ups though.
Overall, I am really happy with the color payoff, texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
