When she released her “Birthday Collection,” I was very excited. The colours in the mini matte lip kit looked fun and bold. The birthday collection mini matte lip kits contain 6 shades. The shade names are- One wish, Baby Girl, Angel, August Bug, All-nighter and Gorg. Reviewing them each, one by one. So, let’s check out how “Baby Girl” fares.

The Matte Liquid Lipstick has high intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry your lips out.
My Experience with Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Baby Girl:
Packaging: The packaging of Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection Liquid Lipstick is utterly beautiful. The liquid lipstick comes in a pretty matte baby pink tube with the signature lipstick dripping. The name Kylie is mentioned on the side of the tube. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Baby Girl.” The tube has a matte baby pink cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot type. All the six lipsticks come housed in a pink cardboard packaging. The outer sleeve has a glittery pink heart all over it. Overall, the packaging is very cute and travel friendly. You can easily carry it in your purse.
Shade and Finish: “Baby Girl” was a part of Koko collection. It is described as a ‘warm muted coral’ and it is indeed a very stunning warm-toned coral pink shade. This colour will complement light to medium Indian skin tones. The lip colour is a perfect everyday summer shade. The finish of the lipstick is super matte.
Texture and Application: The texture of “Baby Girl” liquid lipstick is very thin and liquid-y. The lipstick applies easily on the lips and spreads evenly. The lipstick does not apply patchy. It dries down to a velvety matte finish within a few seconds once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors while applying, you can easily correct it. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a sweet cupcake fragrance to the lipstick. The fragrance is not very strong and disappears within minutes of application. Once the lipstick dries down, it gives a smudge-proof and budge-proof finish. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve a flawless finish. The lipstick didn’t dry my lips for around 4 hours. However, after the 4 to 5-hour mark, you do feel the dryness on the lips. This is an issue with most of the liquid lipsticks out there, but I feel after seeing the price, the formula could have been a bit better, like Dose of Colors lipstick. I apply a lip balm prior to my application and after removing the lipstick.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 7 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. It does stain my lips pink. You can also easily touch up with this.
Overall, I am really happy with the color payoff, texture and the longevity of the lipstick. It can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
