My Experience with L.A. Girl Gypsy Teal Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The eyeliner comes in a matte black colored sharpenable pencil. This matte black pencil has color-coded patterns and fonts printed all over it. But, as this shade is deeper shade, the fonts and other product details written on the black base of the pencil are not easily readable.

The pencil has a color-coded base. The pencil has a clear cap, that does not shut very tightly. Hence, it is necessary to shut the cap tightly, as it slips off easily. This is sharpenable pencil, that needs to be sharpened, after every use to get a fresh pointed tip. However, they have not attached any sharpener attached with it. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly.

The shade “Gypsy Teal” is my favorite shade amongst my entire collection of L.A Girl Gel Glide Eye Pencils. This shade as its name suggests is a greenish-blue shade. This is the deepest teal shade. I prefer royal blue and teal eyeliners the most. This eye pencil has very fine micro shimmers in it, that are so small and provides a subtle sheen to the eye pencil and does not look over the top. The shimmers are smaller than those in the other variants, that I had already reviewed. You may check the hand swatch below. This is stunning green shade to create dramatic eye looks. I love how it looks on my eyes and adds drama to the entire look. Though, the shade is bright but does not look over to top. In terms of pigmentation, this eye pencil wins. It has a lovely pigmentation. Therefore, it shows perfect color with a single swipe. However, I may need second swipes to even out the finish. I totally love how pigmented this eye pencil is!

I had already mentioned in my earlier posts, that I am totally in love with the texture of these eye pencils. Texture wise, these are super soft and smooth. Hence, it glides smoothly on the eyelids, without causing any tugging or pulling of the eye lids. Though, it contains shimmers, but still the texture is so smooth. There is no grittiness in the texture of these eye pencils. The eyeliner sets to a beautiful velvety finish. The formula is lightweight and feel comfortable on my eyelids. The eyeliner is safe for contact lens wearers. It never irritated my delicate and sensitive eyes. The color is easily buildable on my upper, lower lash line and on my waterline too. Though, the other variants I have is difficult to build up on the eyes. But, this one shows the color perfectly on my waterline in just one swipe.

It glides evenly on the eyelids and never gets patchy. The shimmers in the eyeliner stay at place and do not budge at all. The pencil is waterproof and smudge-proof. It does not have that tendency to crease. It looks so fresh throughout the day, without any significant fading.

The lasting power of this eye pencil is lovely. It lasted for more than 8 hours on my eyelids, with a minimal fading from the corners. Isn’t it great! The color looks fresh and intense all day long. But, the color fades away after 4-5 hours from my waterline. There is very little smudging of color, from the corner of eyes. There were not any heavy smudging issues. The eyeliner is easy to remove, using a good eye makeup remover. Overall, I am totally in love with eye pencil, so I would not mind its little cons.
