A few months ago I had reviewed the L.A. Girl Eyeliner Black but didn’t like the formula of that black shade. Still, I picked up this L.A girl Eyeliner Pencil in the shade ‘Cappuccino’, and it looks really nice on the eyes. Read on for more details.

My Experience with L.A. Girl Cappuccino Eyeliner Pencil:
Packaging:
The eyeliner comes in a wooden, black colored pencil with a black plastic cap. It looks nice and also it has a color coded mark at the bottom, which makes it easy to identify. But this pencil needs to be sharpened and it doesn’t come with any sharpener. I prefer a twist up pencil over this kind of pencils. The overall quality of the pencil is a nice and sturdy. A lot of product doesn’t get wasted when I sharpen the pencil; in fact, this pencil doesn’t require frequent sharpening.
Shade and Pigmentation:
This shade ‘Cappuccino’, like the name suggests, is a very nice metallic copper brown shade, or you can call it a light coffee-cappuccino shade that looks very natural on my medium skin tone. It is almost a daily wear n*de shade that acts as a highlighting shade on the waterline, making my eye appear bigger. It has shimmers in it that make it more gorgeous and shiny. I also love to use it as an eyeshadow and it looks really nice. The shade is also decently pigmented, hence only a few swipes are required. But I am not sure how it will show up on darker skin tones.
Texture and Quality:
It has a very smooth and soft texture which glides easily on my eyes and also on the waterline. There is no tugging during application. It is so easy to apply and it goes on very smoothly without any irritation. It has nice, velvety, silky texture. I can create any look with this liner. Also, the tip is quite strong to draw the lines easily.
It feels very soft and never feels patchy after application. It doesn’t dry out quickly, so I can smudge it for a soft, natural look. Since the shade is very light it is not an ideal upper lid eyeliner. I like to create a smudged out look with this liner. Due to its super creamy texture, it is not 100% smudge-proof, though. It smudges with a touch, also it is not a waterproof formula. Still, it never looks messy on my eyes and doesn’t smudge automatically around the eye area. Hence it doesn’t turn become too smudged out on its own like the Black variant.
Staying Power:
The shade ‘Cappuccino’ stays decently for around 8 hours on my eyes and it survives a long time on the waterline too. The shine is still noticeable after the 9-hour mark. It never turns messy which I really like about this. This is a very easy to remove eyeliner from the eyes.
Overall:
I like this shade and it just looks so natural and classy on my eyes. In the EOTD, I applied it on both my lashlines and I smudged it on the upper eyelid to create a natural look. Then I applied my mascara to complete the look.

- Never looks patchy or dry.
- Never irritates my eyes.
- Excellent staying power.
- Good staying power on the waterline too.
- Never looks messy on the eyes.
Cons of L.A. Girl Cappuccino Eyeliner Pencil:
- Needs to be sharpened but no sharpener provided.
- Not 100% smudgeproof or waterproof.
- Starts to fade after 7 hours.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend L.A. Girl Cappuccino Eyeliner Pencil?
I definitely like this shade and I am recommending this as a daily highlighting kajal. But if you want a 100% smudge proof eyeliner, then this is not for you.
