My Experience with L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Gleam:

Beginning with the packaging of the product – it’s a cute packaging. The color-coded tubes are easy to spot in my makeup stash. The tube bears the detailing in quirky fonts. It is an easy-to-squeeze tube with a nice, metallic gold-colored, screw-on cap. The cap closes tightly and makes the tube leak-proof. The tube is handy and easy to carry in handbag. It has a normal plastic slant tip and applicator. Though, the slant tip is helpful in providing precise application, but I feel it would have been better if the applicator was a foamy one. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.

“Gleam” is a golden, rust brown kind of shade. This shade is suitable for fair to medium olive skin tones. This shade has a slightly metallic finish in it. This makes it suitable only for evening parties and glam makeup looks, so it is not suitable for everyday use, but it is definitely a nice shade for parties or weddings. The formula of the lipstick is decently pigmented.

It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe, I apply two coats to get opaque coverage. The finish of this lipstick is super-shiny, which is not as per my liking. I don’t like super shiny finish. It has micro shimmers in it, which are finely milled into the formula and gives it metallic finish. It gives a nice tingling sensation to the lips due to the presence of menthol. I don’t mind the mild tingling but everyone may not like it.

The texture of the lipstick is soft and smooth. The formula is creamy, more like a liquid lipstick. Hence, it glides effortlessly on the lips without any tug or pull. The consistency is on the thicker side compared to other lip paints, so it feels as if it is sitting on the lips. Initially, I tried applying this with a brush but that did not work and then I applied directly from the tube. The tube itself helps in giving precise lip lines and helps achieve smoother application. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer crazily due to its creaminess. The formula feels slightly heavy on the lips. It is non-drying and keeps lips moisturized.

The lasting power is around 4 hours on my lips. The lipstick does not survive heavy meals and wipes off completely. Removing the lipstick is easy. It gets wiped off without much effort with makeup remover wipes.
