Labello Labellino Fresh Mint Lip Balm Review

Hello, everyone!

Today’s review is about Labello Labellino Fresh Mint Lip Balm. Guess what! Labello has come up with this ‘Labellino’ range, which looks just like EOS lip balms. I am not really happy that they kind of copied the idea from EOS, though. I love Labello more than EOS any day. Anyway, now that they copied, I could not resist trying. This lip balm is quite expensive, when compared to other Labello products, but still I thought of giving it a shot.

Price: €6 for 7gms (approximately INR 480 for 120ml)
Product Description:
The Labellino Fresh Mint Lip Balm provides your lips with intensive care and long-lasting moisture – for visibly soft and supple lips with a gorgeous luster. The pleasant smell of fresh mint spoils the senses. Skin compatibility dermatologically approved.
Ingredients:
Octyldodecanol, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Polyisobutene, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cera Microcristallina, Synthetic Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Aqua, Glycerin, Mentha Piperita Leaf Extract, BHT, Menthol, Limonene, Geraniol, Aroma, CI 42090

My Experience with Labello Labellino Fresh Mint Lip Balm:

The packaging is cute and nice. It comes in a cardboard packaging, as seen in the picture. All the product description is printed at the back of this cardboard packaging. The actual lip balm is kept neat and clean. I like this new approach.

The actual lip balm comes in a plastic short cylinder casing. The color of the lid is light blue. The base is white in color. The lid opens and closes easily. The lid is a screw-on one. So, there is no chance of the balm getting opened by mistake. It’s a very sturdy packaging.

The lip balm is exactly the same color as the outer cap. The fragrance is that of mint. Yes, it smells well and I love the minty smell. The fragrance is not as strong as EOS, though. I do not prefer very strong fragrances on my lips as I tend to lick it especially if it smells or tastes yummy.

The texture is very creamy. It glides easily on the lips and is very easy to apply. It’s definitely more creamy than the EOS balms. I feel this is a positive point. Due to the creamy texture, I tend to apply a little amount of the product on the lips.

If applied in excess, it will definitely bleed. The lip balm, even though is light blue in color, does not stain the lips. So, there is no color enhancement of the lips. My lips feel very well moisturized and nourished when I use it. It results in softer and tender lips.

But one can achieve this with any normal Labello lip balm or lip care also. This one does nothing more than other lip balms. This product costs a lot more than normal Labello ones, but offers the same results. I guess the extra price is for the cute packaging.

The product has all natural ingredients except the last few (like color). The Labellino comes in Fresh Mint, Raspberry and Red Apple variants. I now have to try Raspberry and Red Apple and come back with the reviews.
