My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Matte Sticks Lipstick Ruby Space:
It comes in a cool packaging. The range has an aloe vera theme going on and the body of the lipstick is metallic. It comes in a crayon form and you have to use the twist-up mechanism to get the bullet out. The tubes are not color coded, which is a bummer. Overall, I do not have any issue with the packaging. But yes, as Chayanti mentioned, the bullets are fragile.
“Ruby Space” is just so stunning! It is a red lip color with the hint of orange and lots of gorgeous golden shimmer particles. I never thought I’d love a metallic or shimmery shade but here I am. It gives my lips such a pretty look and enhances my complexion too. This is a party-perfect shade, but I can carry it during daytime as well. I feel it will suit all skin tones well. The shade is pretty pigmented. You do not need to layer it again and again and it can hide pigmentation too.
The lipstick is really soft and creamy. It has become softer due to the extreme heat here, but still, it gives a very beautiful look to the lips. Along with the pretty color, it adds dimension to the lips, hence makes them look prettier. It has tiny shimmer particles that do not spread all over my face or bunch up. They stay in place and do not feel uncomfortable on the lips. Overall, the texture is lovely. It does not dry out the lines but highlights my lip lines slightly.
Once set, the lipstick does not smudge on its own. It transfers, but just a little. The staying power is pretty good. It lasts 5-6 hours on my lips. It can survive foods and drinks. With oily food, it disappears from the centre of the lips but touch-up is easy. To remove it fully, I use an oil-based remover.
I am in love with this range! These are practical and wearable metallic lipsticks. I highly recommend this shade to everyone, even for your bridal makeup kit.
