Currently, I am obsessed with the newly launched ‘Lakme 9 to 5 Aloe Naturale’ range. They offer 15 shades and I picked up five of them. Today, I am talking about the shade ‘B4 Spice Street’. Now, let’s get into the details.

Product Description:

It has semi matte texture with a hint of shimmer, delivers a long lasting finish and is available in 15 intense shades that complement Indian skin tones.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Matte Sticks Lipstick B4 Spice Street:

Packaging:
This entire 9 to 5 Naturale range comes with a beautiful packaging. This lipstick comes in a pretty, shiny green rose and pink ombre crayon type packaging that I have to twist up and down to get the bullet out. It’s a pretty, simple, lightweight, and attractive tube. It also comes with a nice black outer box with details on, but they all look same, so it’s quite difficult to identify the shade. Also, the name is not properly highlighted on the tube. It’s too small to understand. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful packaging.

Shade and Pigmentation:
The shade “B4 Spice Street” is a beautiful warm reddish brown or rust brown shade that is good for all skin tones. The shade looks absolutely perfect for daily use. The shade has finely milled shimmer particles and it does not look overpowering at all. Hence, the shade is well pigmented and requires only a few strokes to achieve an opaque color; it also covers lip pigmentation well.

Texture and Quality:
This lipstick has a soft and smooth texture that glides well without any tugging. The formula feels so comfortable and lightweight as well. The texture carries finely milled shimmers and they look extremely natural on the lips. So, the lipstick adds a very subtle metallic tint to the lips. It’s not like other shiny metallic lipsticks, but a very balanced one. This range is the most wearable metallic lipstick range that will never look OTT. It also sets to a perfect matte texture. The formula is transfer-proof, smudge-proof and water-proof.

I am amazed by the quality as it looks beautiful without creating any mess. This lipstick contains aloe vera that imparts a decent amount of hydration to lips and keeps them soft. But if you have extremely chapped lips, you might need a lip balm underneath. As the time passes, it makes lips a bit dry. But, it never feels patchy or never highlights dry patches. The bullets are not strong enough in this range and they might break easily. In fact, one is already broken.

Staying Power:
Coming to its longevity, the lipstick lasts long – around 7 hours. Also, it can survive normal meals well. But after having oily food, it looks faded from the center and needs reapplication. Otherwise, it is a long-wearing shade. It never settles into the fine lines; as a matte lipstick, it behaves so well. This shade can be easily removed with a wipe and it won’t leave any stain behind. Also, the shimmer particles never stick to the lips.

Overall:
I am obsessed with this range and the subtle metallic matte finish it imparts. I am not a fan of shimmery lipsticks, but this one has gives the perfectly balanced look. The only thing is that Lakme offers 2.2 g of product, which is lesser than the usual.
