The packaging of the lipstick is same like that of the ‘Gloss Addict’ ones. But this one has a well built body and the cap is tight too. The immediate packing of the lipstick is a black colored outer pack. Inside the bullet body comes packed in a thin plastic pouch. The lipstick comes in a metallic gray black bullet body, with an additional clear layer of plastic covering the metallic part. The cap is a transparent one and shuts with a click. The lipstick is housed in a gunmetal colored part. The lipstick twists up with a click sound. The shade name is mentioned on the outer pack and as well as on bottom of the tube too. In many ways I find the idea of the packaging very similar to Revlon Colorstay Suede ones.
My Take on Lakmé Absolute Pink Glam Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick:
Shade: This shade is very similar to the shade Pink Me Up, but it’s more on the darker side. This one is a very cool tone, bright something between magenta and fuchsia pink color. It’s a very deeper kind of pink and in the picture below I applied just 1 swipe of the color. The color adds so much to my whole face; and the brightness definitely gives a nice sculpting effect to my lips. The color is wearable for everyday, but not suitable for office and colleges. The shade is perfect for the brides to be. It will suit fair to dusky skin tones very nicely.
Texture and Finish: Initially when you apply the fresh lipstick on lips, it’ll feel a bit hard but then with one swipe it goes super smooth on lips. The texture is super smooth and creamy. The lipstick feels very comfortable on lips. Despite of being a matte lipstick, it doesn’t strip moisture from my lips. It kept my normal lips feeling well hydrated as long as it lasts. As it’s summers now, I don’t think that dry lip beauties would need any extra hydration wearing this. The finish of the lipstick wooed me so much, that now I am obsessed with the lipstick. The finish is true velvety matte, not powdery at all. It appears like you have worn something velvet on lips. It sets into matte finish within a few seconds of application. The lipstick does settle a bit into the fine lines of lips and the condition is noticeable only when you smile and look close enough in the mirror. Otherwise it doesn’t emphasize dry lips.
Pigmentation: The lipstick is very decently pigmented. With one swipe it gives maximum color on lips and covers flaws of lips. It has the opacity in it. You can layer it on to intensify and make the shade look more vivid and bold.
Staying Power: The lipstick gives me a wearing time for 5-6 hours, without fading. The lipstick partially survives heavy meals and will completely withstand snacking and drinking. By when eating a heavy meal the color from the inner corners of lips only gets faded and will need a touch up. The lipstick leaves a thin layer of color on whatever that my lips touch. But it doesn’t affect the opacity of the color. Also it doesn’t just slip off from lips.
Pros of Lakmé Absolute Pink Glam Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick:
- A very bright deep fuchsia pink color.
- Will suit every skin tone.
- An apt shade to wear on parties and weddings.
- Creamy and smooth texture.
- Glides smoothly on lips.
- Packaging is decent and sturdy.
- Pigmentation is excellent.
- Velvety matte finish.
- Really gives the appearance of sculpted lips.
- Feels comfortable and hydrating.
- Excellent staying power for 4-5 hours.
- Survives mild snacking and drinking.
- Doesn’t stain lips.
Cons of Lakmé Absolute Pink Glam Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick:
- I wish the lipstick would have been completely transfer proof and touch proof too.
- The round shape of the bullet makes applying the color at the corners of lips a little difficult.
- Some may find the price too expensive. But for such a lovely product, I won’t mind paying 700 bucks.
Would I recommend/repurchase Lakmé Absolute Pink Glam Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick?
Yes, I’ll definitely suggest this lipstick to everyone. This is such a bright, long lasting lipstick. I’ll definitely purchase this shade again and again along with other shades too.
