Skin Tone: Fair to Wheatish

I am totally into matte lipsticks these days. I am trying different bold and bright shades from a few brands. I recently tried Lakme Enrich Matte lipstick in the shade “WM10.” It is such a nice dark mauve color that comes at an affordable price tag. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick WM10:
This lipstick comes in a tester-like tube which looks cheap. It has a matte silver colour plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colour cardboard packaging that has the product description printed on it, but the ingredients list is missing. The silver carton is more attractive than the lipstick tube itself. Still, the packaging is sturdy.
The shade code “WM10” is mentioned on the carton and on the back of the lipstick tube. It would have been better if there was some shade name associated with this lipstick. I ordered this lipstick online thinking that it would be a bright mauve shade. It actually turned out to be a dark mauve shade or rather a mauve with brown undertones. At first, I was a little disappointed, but it is a really bold shade to wear. It is also perfect for formal meetings. It will suit Indian skin tones as it is a very subtle mauve.
The texture of the lipstick is moist matte. It glides smoothly on the lips and doesn’t tug on the skin. You have to build up the color by applying nicely with a lip brush. It settles into fine lines if applied in excess. The lipstick does not have any hydrating properties and it does nothing to keep the lips nourished. The texture is lightweight and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. It does not give that thick or waxy feel. Prepping the lips well prior to the application is a must before applying this lipstick as it clings to the dry patches on the lips.
It doesn’t make a mess on cups and spoons. It lasts for about 5 hours leaving a tint behind after that which wasn’t very difficult to remove. It fades from the corners and the middle which looks uneven. Since this is a matte formula, lips need to be moisturized before application, else it makes lips very dry afterwards. It is not the best matte at this price range but completely in love with the shade.

- Settles into fine lines.
- Looks a little patchy.
- Leaves the lips dry.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick WM10?
I won’t repurchase this shade, but I totally recommend it. This range offers shades for all skin tones. It is a true matte formula with a smooth texture. This shade has compelled me to buy more mauve shades.
