How to Apply: Line lips with lip pencil if desired. Coat lip colour brush. Pull apart with colour and apply to lips. Blend colour with the pencil to outline so no line is visible.
My Experience with Laura Mercier Bare Lips Sheer Lip Colour:
The lipstick comes packaged in a decent sized cylindrical shaped, brown coloured tube, which comes in a grey coloured cardboard box. Shade details are mentioned on the bottom of the tube and “Laura Mercier” written on the cap. Cap closes firmly, hence packaging is travel friendly. This decent sized tube can be easily tucked in pockets for on-the-go use.
I picked two lip colours from Laura Mercier and have already reviewed Laura Mercier Stickgloss Lip Colour in shade Courtisane. Coming to today’s review Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour Bare Lips is a sheer pink beige shade. This shade is a mixture of warm and cool undertones; it has both pink and brown undertones.
This shade is semi matte and gives a matt and opaque finish to my pigmented lips. I like this shade; it’s a beautiful shade and looks very nice on my lips. It can be used for regular wear and also for special occasions, but requires touch up, after meals. Lasting power is varies from four to six hours, survives drinking water, tea, coffee and mild snacks. It lightens after meals and needs a touch up.
It has a tendency to make my lips patchy, after wearing off. The lipstick feels light on the lips; it does not feel thick or creamy. The formula is smooth and glides easily. One to two swipes gives an opaque finish to my pigmented lips. It does not spread or smudge and transfers only if pressed too hard. The shade is nicely pigmented and is buildable to get the desired effect. The stain left back needs to be removed with a makeup remover. Besides making my lips dry, it has a funny smell and has a bitter taste, which is not okay with me. I consciously avoid biting or smacking my lips when I am using this lipstick.
