Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Rose
The actual shade is a litte bit warmer than it seems in the lip swatch photos. It is actually closer to the shade shown in the lipstick tube picture than in my lip swatches.
Maybelline Color Sensational in Autumn Rush
The colour seems to be pinkish indoors, but in reality the actual shade is closer to the swatches taken outdoors.
Autumn Rush seems to be a good nude shade for my lips – it evens out my natural lip colour and provides just a little hint of brownish pink. I personally don’t like nude lipsticks that erase my lips altogether. With this lipstick on, I can go crazy with my eye makeup. 🙂
On the other hand, Revlon Colorburst Soft Rose is a warm pink shade that lights up my face when I don’t want to wear much makeup. 🙂 (I’m of wheatish complexion, for those who want to know.)

Ki – You should try rosy nude in colorburst. I swatched it in the stores yesterday and I lOVED it. I think you will too 🙂
Ki was asking about you the other day. She wanted you to be back because both of you have same shade in MAC foundation. :rotfl: She was getting all confused. Btw she loved exactly the same shade of MAC lippy that you did. 😛

Ki, I had expected Soft Rose to be brownish pink but it looks more like fuschia on my lips. The store lighting confused me. I’m still looking for my HG dusty rose (warm brownish pink) shade.

Loved both the colours but guess I won’t be able to carry off Soft rose that easily. Autumn Rush is totally my kind of a colour. You have beautiful lips, Sonal. 🙂

Autumn rush is a pretty pretty shade… how is the lasting power of these?
They both last 2-3 hours, but Revlon starts to lose its shine and finish after about an hour. Maybelline retains the shine and finish longer. The Maybelline one survives talking, eating and drinking better than the Revlon one. They both fade evenly leaving a color stain on the lips that does not look odd.
Maybelline feels like it plumps up my lips somewhat, but at the same time I also feel that it accentuates the lines on my lips. Revlon is a little bit sheer. Maybelline is more opaque.
For me revlon one survives longer than the maybelline one. 😛
