My Experience with Lipice Ruby Pink Lip Gloss:
Let’s begin with the packaging of the lip gloss. This is a dual ended lip-gloss that consists of two different shades. The lip gloss comes housed in a cardboard packaging. The packaging has the ingredients list and other necessary details about the product. The lip gloss tube is a dual ended clear plastic tube that contains two shades of lip glosses, each at one end. The shade name is mentioned at the base of each end on a sticker. The middle part of the lip gloss is pearly white in color with the brand name embossed on it with gold fonts. This middle part or cap has two applicators for both the lip glosses. The applicator is a regular doe-foot type applicator. The applicator has an average quality. This is a soft foam applicator, but it picks very little amount at a time. So, I need to dip again and again to apply the gloss on my lips. Overall, the packaging is fine but a little confusing as both the shades looks quite similar in the tube, but one is sheer while the other is nicely pigmented. So, I had to swatch it on my hand first before applying because it’s very difficult to remember their shade names.
Now, let’s talk about the shades. This lip gloss is named “Ruby Pink.” It has two shades namely Gorgeous Rose Pink and Soft Rose Pink. The shades are quite similar but only differ in terms of pigmentation and type of shimmer. The shade “Gorgeous Rose Pink” is a sheer coral pink lip gloss with micro shimmers, it’s not much noticeable on the lips and just adds a luminescent effect to the lips. The shade is surely very pretty and it is a nice and wearable, but it is very less pigmented and gives a sheer wash of color to the lips. So, it is not suitable for pigmented lips at all. The second shade “Soft Rose Pink” is a pretty and pigmented coral link lip color with some warmer undertones. The formula is nicely pigmented and provides good coverage to the lips. The shade is very beautiful and girly. It can be easily worn at office or college or wherever you want, you may easily carry it without the fear of it looking over the top. This shade also has golden shimmers in it that are comparatively larger than those in the previous shade. These are also non chunky and not much noticeable. The lip gloss has a funny candy-like fragrance that might be bothering for some as it is quite strong and stays for long. The lip gloss does not have any taste. The gloss sets to a nice glossy finish.
The texture of the lip gloss is nice and smooth. It glides all over the lips nicely without causing any dragging of the lips. The formula is lightweight and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. I hate those sticky lip glosses, hence I was happy to see that this lip gloss is not sticky. It does not feel waxy or sticky on the lips. The formula is nice and moisturizing. My lips stays moisturized for quite long. It provides some sort of hydration to my lips also. My lips do not feel dry even after hours of application. The gloss has a tendency to transfer a lot. It does not bleed or smudge.
The lip gloss stays for some good 4 hours or so with a little fading. The lip glosses do not survive even light meals and fades away completely. The shimmers in the gloss are left behind. These are a little difficult to remove and look gaudy on the lips. Hence, it requires reapplication after meals. Overall, I like the shade so I do not have many complaints with the product.
