LipIce Classy Orange Lip Crayon

Hi lovely ladies!!!

My love for orange lipsticks has become my identity now. Nowadays, I have the store people call me and inform me of their newly launched lip products at the store. One such product was this Lipice crayon. At a time when all brands are coming up which chubby form of lipsticks, this brand probably didn’t want to be left behind and they come up with new lip crayons. They have only 3 shades available- Rose pink, Pure pink and Classy orange. I will be reviewing the shade Classy Orange from this range.

Price: Rs.675 for 3g

My Experience with LipIce Classy Orange Lip Crayon:

Starting with the packaging of this crayon, it is very similar to Revlon Just Kissable Balm stain. It comes in a chubby retractable stick type color-coded packaging. The colored plastic packaging makes it easy to locate in your makeup stash. But it gets very confusing to find the shade because all the other chubby sticks I own have the same packaging, and belong to the same color family making it difficult for me to pick up the shade I want. Though the packaging is nice, I didn’t find it appealing because I have seen so many lip crayons from so many brands with the same packaging. The shade name and number is provided on the bottom sticker of the lipstick. The ingredients and all other details pertaining to the lip product are printed on the tube itself.

Classy orange is a gorgeous orange lip color with golden micro shimmer. The shimmers are not obvious. They impart a nice glossy sheen to the lips. I was a bit skeptical about the shimmer after I swatched it at the store, but once I gave it a try on my lips, there was an instant love! Under the tube light the color looks like as though it has a tinge of yellow running through it.The texture of this lip crayon is smooth and balmy, it glides on the lips easily. It has a menthol effect in it just like Revlon Just Kissable Balm stains which feels really nice and refreshing on the lips. On the first swipe, the color and texture feel really sheer because you can hardly see any color the second you apply it, but after 5 minutes, the actual full fledged color is seen along with a high moisturized plump look to the lips. So you should just have some patience to let the lip color settle!
The pigmentation of the lip crayon is sheer but can be built up to get a more intense color. As the color is build-able, you can put a thin layer on your lips to get a natural look, or you can add extra layers for a bolder color. The best part of the product is that it is completely transfer-proof. Once you let it settle for 5 mins, it just does’t budge or bleed.

At the 1st application, this product has a little sheen (personally, I go for matte than sheeny/glossy look), but later the sheen will also fade, but it will leave a gorgeous stain on your lips. The glossiness wears off within two hours or so, but the color stays intact for a good 6-7 hours leaving a gorgeous stain on your lips. This product has very good stain-lasting formula. The stain looks extremely natural and my lips look fresh and plumped. The stain will stay on your lips throughout the day without drying out your lips. The formula keeps your lips moisturized throughout the day. This product has yummy peppermint-candy scent, that makes me want to lick it sometimes. But if you don’t like peppermint smell no need to worry because the smell gradually fades away in no time.

Pros of LipIce Classy Orange Lip Crayon:

-Color coded packaging making it easy to locate the shade.
-All details printed on the tube itself.
-Gorgeous orange shade.
-Smooth balmy texture.
-Has menthol cooling effect on the lips.
-Can be worn sheerly or full fledged by layering up.
-Completely trasfer-proof.
-Peppermint smell.
-Lasts long.
-Doesn’t dry out the lips.
-Extremely gorgeous stain if left behind that lasts throughout the day.

Cons of LipIce Classy Orange Lip Crayon:

-Has golden mcro shimmer.
-Have to remove stain using makeup remover.

IMBB Rating:

Overall, Lipice crayon in Classy Orange is a lovely orange balmy lip colour with golden micro shimmer particles that leaves a gorgeous stain behind that lasts forever and doesn’t dry out the lips. If you love lip stains then you should try lipice crayons for the lovely stain it leaves behind. I’m sure you will love it!!!

Anuradha you can try bourjois crayon in the shade orange punch- it is balmy, and unlike its name that says ORANGE, it is a nice Coral lip color that isn’t gaudy.

Raeesa December 12, 2014 at 1:13 pm

I guess it will take some time to be available online. I got it from a regular cosmetic store. If you are from Bangalore then I can tell you the store’s name.
