L’Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Review

L’Oreal has released a new range of hair care products called Extraordinary Clay. These products boast about being silicone free and filled with three different types of refined clays. I shopped two of the shampoos from the range and one conditioner. Today I will be reviewing the anti-dandruff shampoo.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

The packaging is like that of any other L’Oreal shampoo. It comes in a plastic bottle with a fliptop cap. The color of the bottle is turquoise and very catchy. My husband saw it in the shower cubicle and was tempted to use it. The cap opens and closes easily. The packaging is also very sturdy.

The consistency of the product is not too thick or thin. It’s a perfect shampoo consistency. The shampoo is white in color. The fragrance is little different and reminds me of sea or beach. It’s difficult to explain the fragrance but I love the way it smells. The fragrance doesn’t last more than an hour and is very mild.
I very rarely get dandruff, so I don’t use antidandruff shampoo regularly. I tend to use anti-dandruff shampoos only once a week, that too when I have dandruff. I use a normal shampoo otherwise. But in winters, my scalp gets a little itchy.

I need only a coin-sized amount for my medium length hair. The scalp feels very clean and free of dandruff after 2 washes. There is no trace of dandruff for almost 2 days. The hair also feels soft and smooth after the wash and conditioning. This shampoo looks to be a promising one. The fact that it’s silicone free is a big plus. The shampoo happens to contain PIROCTONE-O which is a compound used to treat fungal infections.
The usage of this product didn’t cause any kind of itchiness or increased hair loss. I have a sensitive scalp and was fine using this product.
