L’Oreal revamped their Infallible range and the sassy packaging is too good. The black body with a bright red cap is lightweight but not cheap made. The cap indicates the color and the shade name is mentioned on the bottom of the tube. It is sturdy and pretty.
Let’s start with the color. Red Fatale is a hot fire engine red. If you’re looking for a bold fiery red that brightens up your complexion in a jiffy go for this one. Sallow, dull and lifeless skin? Just a dash of this can make you look glam and bold. It is a neutral red which will suit all skin tones. However that said, it isn’t for daily wear and probably best suited for Saturday nights.
The formula is very creamy and hydrating. Just exfoliate your lips well and swipe it across. The creamy formula feels smooth and glides like butter on lips. The lipstick is well pigmented, lightweight and comfortable to wear. It goes opaque in one swipe and with two swipes you get a full shot of color.
The lipstick doesn’t feather or bleed. However, a nude liner is suggested as the lipstick is creamy and might just move. I dab a tissue to blot the excess creaminess and set it to a transfer-proof finish. It stays for 5 hours or so without eating. I can sip water without it really moving, but with large portions of food, you are likely to disintegrate it.
Just wipe off the previous coat before applying it again. I don’t mind reapplying it especially as the packaging is beautiful and I don’t mind whipping it out in public. L’Oreal lipsticks are more economical in the USA as compared to India, where they fall in the above INR 900 bracket.
