My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Lipstick Cafe De Flore:

Let’s begin with the packaging of this baby. The lipstick comes in a gorgeous black and metallic pink packaging. The lipstick tube is black in color and has a beautiful metallic pink cap. The cap shuts very tightly making a click sound. Hence, the packaging is definitely purse-friendly. The metallic pink packaging looks quite girly and attractive as well. There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the tube, which bears the shade name and number. The lipstick has a regular twist-up mechanism, which works pretty smoothly. The lipstick has a regular bullet shape, which facilitates easy and smooth application. Overall, I love the packaging. It is so feminine and sturdy as well.

I don’t prefer using brown lipsticks that much, so I decided to take a break from regular pink and corals. I grabbed three beautiful n*de shades from this range. These are all n*de browns and I love these shades so much.

“Café De Flore” is a beautiful beige n*de shade with a hint of brown. The color is very subtle and looks pretty on the lips. If you are someone who doesn’t dare to wear browns much as they tend to make you look mature, you should surely check out some browns from this collection because they are different. There is a gorgeous n*de brown shade for every skin tone.

This is a perfect MLBB shade for medium skin tones according to the brand. I have medium skin tone and this shade turned out to be a pretty n*de shade for my skin tone. This is a perfect n*de lipstick for almost all Indian skin tones. This is a perfect everyday shade, which can be carried to office or college or wherever you want. It looks subtle and nice on the lips. The lipstick does not really contain any shimmer in it and sets to a soft velvety matte kind of finish and it’s decently pigmented. One swipe gives semi-opaque coverage. Therefore, I need two-three swipes to achieve perfect and even color. It is capable of concealing pigmented lips very well. There is no significant smell in this lipstick, which is a pro for people with sensitive noses. The lipstick sets to a lovely matte finish. The finish is close to powder matte.

The texture of the lipstick is to die for. It is so soft and smooth and glides on the lips like a dream without causing any tugging or pulling, but being a matte lip color, it has the tendency to cling to the dry patches of the lips and prepping lips prior is mandatory.

It is lightweight and feels super comfortable on the lips. The formula is non-drying matte. It does not dry out the lips. My lips feel so comfortable and kind of hydrated with this lipstick. It looks stunning on the lips and never gets patchy. This range is worth trying by people with dry lips as well. Its formula keeps the lips nourished. The formula is smudge-proof and transfer-proof up to some extent. It takes a few seconds to set and once set, it does not budge at all. It does not settle into fine lines of the lips and gives a smooth finish.

Staying power is approximately 5-6 hours with constant sipping of water. Being such a soft shade, I find the staying power quite impressive. It survives little snacking easily but cannot survive heavy meals and fades from the inner corner of the lips, but reapplication after meals resolves the issue. Overall, this lipstick has a few cons but I still love it so much.
