L’Oreal is one of my favorite brands and I rarely miss the chance of picking up new launches from them. A while ago, I picked up 6 shades from the range and have been using them since some time now. Today, I am starting off the reviews with the first shade from the range “Roseate Delicacy.”

My Experience with L’Oreal Roseate Delicacy Intelligent Color-Caressing Lip Balm:
The packaging is the selling point of this range; I bet you cannot resist picking up a shade or two from the collection when you see them at the counter. The packaging is similar to the “Infallible” range with a twist, where the caps are sheer colored and in sync with the shade of the balm. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base of the tube. The ingredients are mentioned on the outer transparent covers which is lost once you rip it off.
The texture is just like butter, it has a slip to it which is not uncomfortable but definitely unlike the thick healing lip balms. It is like a sheer layer of balm on the lips which imparts incredible shine. It would not be suitable to put on a lipstick on top of it as the color would not sit on the slippery balm.
“Roseate Delicacy” is a simple transparent lip balm which looks light pink in the tube. For my pigmented lips, I do not find it to be suitable. On the contrary, I prefer it wearing as my day lip balm as it’s not thick like other lip balms. This is a simple and shiny lip balm in a fancy packaging.
The staying power of the balm is 5 to 6 hours, although the shine vanishes in 2 hours or so, depending on food and water intake. Even though the shine vanishes, it continues to hydrate for some more time. It does not work as an overnight lip balm, so it is something that you can easily pass.
Pros of L’Oreal Roseate Delicacy Intelligent Color-Caressing Lip Balm:
- Lovely packaging.
- Comes with name and number.
- Shiny finish.
- Glides on the lips like butter.
- Lips remain hydrated for long.
Cons of L’Oreal Roseate Delicacy Intelligent Color-Caressing Lip Balm:
- Expensive.
- Low staying power.
- Not for healing chapped lips.
- Not for pigmented lips.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Roseate Delicacy Intelligent Color-Caressing Lip Balm?
Repurchase – no.
Recommend – if you really want to shell out that much for a clean shiny lip balm, go ahead.
