Loreal Smooth Intense Serum Review

Loreal Smooth Intense Serum Review

Hey friends, this review is all about a hair serum that I have been using for quite sometime now and thought it would be of great help for any of you.. This product is called Loreal smooth intense serum. This range includes a shampoo and a conditioner too but they are no good so I thought I could review the serum instead.

Packaging:

It comes in a golden yellowish bottle with a nice flip cap. It is a 100ml bottle.

What it says:

  1. The texture and shine of your hair is instantly renewed.
  2. Immediately your hair feels smooth, silky and manageable.

Directions for use:

  • Apply onto washed and dried or dry hair.
  • Pour several drops of serum onto the palm
  • Rub hands together and distribute evenly along the length of the hair
  • Do not rinse out.

Texture:

It is a transparent light fluid that glides on smoothly when applied onto the hair.

My experience:

Loreal Intense Sooting Serum
Loreal Intense Sooting Serum

My hair is extremely dry and coarse and inspite of me using expensive conditioners, it is still frizzy after drying. But this serum controls all the frizz in no time giving my hair that bouncy and silky effect. I just love the smell of this serum. It gives a decent floral fragrance that lasts the whole day. I generally use this serum after my hair is washed and blow dried. It can be used on a daily basis on dry hair too. It gives an instant shine to the hair and makes any hairstyle easier. Just a coin sized amount is enough for normal hair. For dense hair like mine, would require 2 or even 3 coins amount of fluid. I have used various expensive serums that I get from the salons but I found this the best. For people with thin hair, just a few drops of this would do. The bottle itself says that it is for unmanageable and dry hair. I feel it a must try as it is economical. It costs 240/-(I got it for 220/- on an offer) for a 100ml which I think is not bad.

Pros of Loreal Smooth Intense Serum:

Loreal Intense Soothing Serum

  1. Good packaging.
  2. Non sticky
  3. Adds immense shine
  4. Controls frizz
  5. Great fragrance
  6. Economical

Cons of Loreal Smooth Intense Serum:
No cons

My rating: :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Would I repurchase Loreal Smooth Intense Serum?

  1. You so love Loreal hair care range no, preetha. :)) I have never used any serums for my hair but I think I’ll start using the loreal professional range since you have given so many good reviews. My first would be the anti dandruff one. Thanks for the reviews, preetha. :))

    1. Yeah Rati I totally love Loreal coz its working for me..u know na I have such thick, curly, dry and frizzy hair..totally unmanageable..that if I leave it open I get comments like am looking like a ghost or a witch..hehe..this serum is doing wonders for me… n ya the anti dandruff is a great one Rati..do try n tel me if u liked it.. πŸ™‚

    1. Smita my hair is very really very frizzy…this serum helps alot..u dont have to take a lot of it..I take a coinzed size amount and smooth onto my hair..then brush..my hair becomes neat..and it stays till my next wash…it has something called argon oil which creates a natural smoothing effect….u can try it..i dont think u would be disappointed coz it is’nt expensive.. πŸ™‚

  2. nice review…but personally i didnt like this too much..i have dry frizzy hair..and this one just made it too oily no matter how little i used..so i guess this one is for ppl with really dry hair..i like the liss ultime serum from loreal..better fragrance and makes hair more softer and shinier…and not oily at all…

  3. Such a helpful review :-), thanks! Have you tried the Matrix Biolage serum? Is this better than that? I like the conditioner from this range too. it suits my hair. …I think I should try this too πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  4. I use the purple serum from the Loreal range which has helped me a lot…. but this si so much cheaper….so I can try this next. But the shampoo & conditioner of this same range did not help me

  5. AAAAHH!! I am shocked to hear that the shampoo and conditioner from the smooth intense range was no good. I have been using this range (shampoo conditioner & serum) for the past one year, and I loved it. By the way I have a really oily scalp and veryyyyyyy rough dry hair. Its the first range that has solved my prob, and something I have stuck to beyond a month. This is my HG hair range.

    MEOW!! :cat2:

  6. This is an open question. Can you tell me which is the best Shampoo in Indian market for normal & dry hair. Many says it is Sunsilk. Need your inputs

  7. Hi,

I bought this serum today and was just googling it and stumbled here,:) nice to read a positive review i hope it like it.
Also, ive tried the matrix serum and liked it, but nothing makes me go back and buy it again, but imust say it suited my straightened hair, i also like silk and shine and it is a really cheap alternative serum, and smells good as well. πŸ™‚

And for Sathya’s open question i jus happened to read — i would say Pantene is.

  8. I have been using this for 1 years and one bottle is nearly over. I’m buying it again. It is such a wonderful product. I love loreal paris products when it comes to hair.
So this is one of my favorite things> :preen:

  9. Hi Preetha.. good review.. I usually never blow dry my hair after shampooing as it is already thin and also am having hairfall issues.. so want i want to ask is will this serum be still as effective and frizz free if i use it after towel drying my hair? My hair is already smooth and staright but am only worried about the frizz..

  10. yes kitty. it will work just fine even if you dont blowdry after applying this… i an using it for 4 months now.. and i love it. i use it after i shampoo everytime. and i do not blowdry regularly. just on and off… works great for me har baar! :victory2: :victory2: :happydance: :happydance:
