L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Liss Control Plus Smoothing Serum

The L’oreal Professional Liss Control + Hair Serum was suggested by the hairdresser in my parlour after I did my rebonding.  Usually, one’s hair is very tamed and in control soon after the rebonding and I was wondering why the hairdresser suggested this serum to me.  Then, she explained the benefits of the serum which I will be reviewing in detail in this post. I just started using this serum and couldn’t wait to share its benefits with all you girls. It is indeed a great product that works better than what I had imagined.

The serum comes with a pump dispenser and one single pump dispenses a little serum which would be sufficient for shoulder length hair (I have shoulder length hair which is not so thick).  So, based on the volume of your hair, you might need more or less product.  Once I pumped out the serum, I expected to feel a sticky, semi-gel like fluid, but it was more like an oil which was as light as water. I did not feel any stickiness and it smelled so great.  The fragrance lingers on until a day!!

 Loreal hair serum

I use this every time that I wash my hair and my hair gets all the shine and silkiness. You must know the right amount for your hair else you might end up with too much amount that makes your hair look all clumped and oily!! I did the mistake for the first couple of times after which I knew the right amount for my hair. It just comes by practise, so don’t panic if you mess up the initial few times.

The 50 ml serum costs Rs. 525 and this 50 ml bottle will last me for an year easily. The expiry date is 3 years from the manufacturing date, so you will have enough time to finish this one.

Hair Serum

Pros of L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Liss Control Plus Smoothing Serum:

  • Controls frizz perfectly.
  • Hair feels so soft.
  • Hair looks all shiny and silky.
  • Serum is very light.
  • Serum smells so good. The fragrance is mild and long-lasting.
  • Easy to apply as it is not sticky.
  • Easily available in salons and parlours.
  • Easy-to-use pump dispenser bottle which also comes with a twist lock. So, when not in use, you can twist and lock the pump dispenser.
  • The bottle is made of good-quality plastic, so it survived 3-4 drops so far !!

Cons of L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Liss Control Plus Smoothing Serum:

  • You must know to use the right amount, else you will mess up your hair for sure.
  • If your hair is very frizzy and you use a significant amount of product, then you might have to wash your hair more frequently as you can obviously feel the serum on your hair the very next day.

Rating:
4/5.

Would I Repurchase L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Liss Control Plus Smoothing Serum?

I actually don’t need a serum for my hair at all. I use this very rarely, so I think this might last long enough. So, there is no question of repurchasing. Until I find any better serum, I am pretty comfortable using this one.  If you have frizzy hair, then this might become your HG serum, who knows, give it a shot at the parlours and then buy it if you feel comfortable with this serum on your hair.

  2. oooooh! sounds interesting! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: i have the loreal professional liss ultime which is similarly priced but doesn’t help my frizz much :pan: :pan: …maybe i’ll try this one too once i am done with the ultime…thank u for the review!

  3. hmmmm nice serum but have tried a trick of applying pea sized amount of body lotion to hair as my dry hair is acting al d more crazy in winters and dat worked more dan any serum used so far

  4. Even Ive noticed this… the SAs at loreal try a lot to sell their products.
A serum works best for frizzy hair- otherwise you dont really need to use it 🙂

  5. This sounds perfect! My hair gets frizzy very easily, and I was looking for something that works, thanks for the review 🙂

  6. Jomol I tried wid vaseline 24 hour body lotion u can try a day bfr u wash ur hair n test bt really it’s keeping my natural waves frizz free
Wen I later read in net few ppl have mentiond dat dey we’re doing d same thng frm many daz n indeed hair is just like skin which needs moisturization
So try jomol and check it out
I m indeed planning to try water based loght weight body lotions too 🙂 dey even give a nice smell to hair
Ofcourse try at ur own risk n plz dnt blame me if it doesn’t wrk bt caution dnt use on ur scalp

      1. vH….thank you for this great idea….I think it is a very wonderful tip…..I will use it in my hair ends

        1. yes do give it a try 🙂 it works wonders when you want to maintain the curls as well as it binds the hair togthr 🙂

    1. You can also use Nivea cream the original blue one, instead of any leave on conditioner / serum, if you don’t have them. Even otherwise it really feels good to use cream.
Even the Koleston serum is very good for frizzy hair. it costs only about Rs, 800 or so, it is made of Macadamia oil, and it is really wonderful, not at all greasy. The lady in the parlour was saying they even use a few pumps of it in the hair color mix too, before applying.
BTW, I have also bought this L’oreal Liss control, it seems to be good.
