Lotus Herbal has recently launched a new range of lip balm with four pretty shades. Today, I am going to share my review on Lotus Herbal Lip Lush Tinted Lip Balm in the shade “Watermelon Splash”. Let’s get into the review.
Product Description and Ingredients:
INR 175 for 4g
My Experience with Lotus Herbal Lip Lush Tinted Lip Balm Watermelon Splash:
Packaging: Lip balm comes in a color-coded paper outlet with some information over it. It looks so girly and pretty. The actual lip balm comes in the same color coded coral pink plastic tube with a cap. It looks cute and quite travel-friendly. Only the bullet is not strong enough so, it might break.
Shade: The shade “Watermelon Splash” looks like a super cute coral pink lip balm, but it has sheer pigmentation that provides a light coral pink tint to the lips. It looks very nice and natural on my lips. This pretty shade is good for almost all skin tone. But it is less pigmented that can’t hide dark pigmented lips.
Texture and Quality: The texture of this lip balm is very smooth and soft that glides well. This lip balm gives a nice tint to my lips. As it is a watermelon flavor, I expected a fresh smell but, it has artificial chemical fragrance which doesn’t feel like fresh watermelon. Yes, it has a hint of smell like water melon but, I don’t like such fragrance. Thankfully, it fades away quickly, so never bothers me a lot.
The formula is very light and smooth. It doesn’t feel sticky at all. It instantly provides soft, smooth and hydrated lips. The hydration cures the dryness but it can’t heal chapped lips for long. I have quite dry lips and it provides me that desired hydration without making me feel greasy. It never clings to dry patches and soothes them as well. It also has SPF 20 which protects my lips from the sun. The color doesn’t settle into the fine lines and doesn’t crease at all. This lip balm transfers but, the softness does not fully vanish.
Staying Power: The lip balm stays on for a decent time on my lips for around 3-4 hours and after that it starts to fade. Like their claims, it doesn’t stay for 8 hours. It needs reapplication always. Since this is a lip balm, it can’t survive food properly except light snacks.
The shade looks pretty and it works nice on my lips as a hydrating lip balm. Only it doesn’t last long so, I have to reapply it again and again.

No, I prefer my lip balm to be a rich moisturizing product that lasts long. There is nothing new in it. But, as a normal tinted balm it is, good.
