Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint Review
Hello Everyone,

Thanks a ton guys for all the sweet comments on my previous review! I am back again with another review. The product I am reviewing today is “Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint.” I have been using this product from almost 6 months now and I realized I haven’t reviewed it here on IMBB.
This is my one and only Lush product! Can you believe it? Every time I went to The Garuda or The Forum Mall and whilst passing by that oh-so-yummy smelling Lush store, I have always felt like looting the entire place! But the only thing that kept me away from using their products is the short shelf life and the lack of ease of use. I am a pretty lazy person and I prefer products that I can use on-the-go with the least effort possible. I couldn’t imagine cutting up the soap and carefully storing it in the fridge or cry over that solid shampoo that slid off my butterfingers during a shower! 😀 I like my Body Shop products that come in sturdy bottles, perfect for rough use!

Phew! The story aside, I found these cute little tins of lip tints very attractive and finally decided to get one for myself. Of the three variants I found, i.e. “It Started With a Kiss,” “A Million Kisses” and “Latte,” I chose the first one.
“It Started With a Kiss” is a beautiful shade of red with pink and coral undertones, comes with a list of fabulous nourishing ingredients, smells like Christmas and is cruelty free! Ain’t that great!
Product Description:
It started with a kiss and ended with… All romances start with one, so why shouldn’t it be the most life-changing kiss you have ever had? ‘It Started’ is a tinted balm that makes your lips an enticing crimson red, sure to lure your prince (or princess) charming from the path they had mistakenly wandered off on! Our red apple, cinnamon and white chocolate flavour is delicious. It’s a perfect blend of spice and sweetness, and it makes you think of candy apples. No one will be able to resist your tempting pout when you wear this, and kissing will swiftly follow.

This is how it looks on me, I have slightly pigmented lips. It will suit people with naturally pink lips very well. See how it is slightly gritty?
My Thoughts on Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint:
I love this lip tint, it is not drying unlike the marker-pen like tints. It feels like a lip balm, although I wouldn’t go as far to say it replaces one. It smells wonderful, it smells predominantly of cinnamon, but you would also sense that there is something sweet, an apple beneath all that cinnamon-y freshness. For dry lipped beauties, I would suggest top it over a nice moisturizing lip balm. Works best on well-exfoliated lips. It does not enhance any fine lines, instead the cinnamon gives a plumper feel to the lips.
The major problem yet again is the tin packaging which I personally don’t like, so I bought the VLCC Groome lip brush, and the problem stands solved. As you can see in the pictures, I just have to put my lip brush, a good lip balm and the tint in one tiny box and I am good to go!
Love everything about the product except that it goes on a little gritty, nothing too bothersome as you can easily remove those tiny little particles with your lip brush.
So, here’s the final verdict:
Pros of Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint:
- Non-drying unlike many other tints.
- Beautiful color, brightens up the face.
- Has loads of nourishing ingredients.
- Smells divine!
- One tin will last a long time.
Cons of Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint:
- Slightly expensive, unhygienic as you have to dip your finger in the pot every time.
- Not paraben-free.
IMBB Rating:
4/5. All in all, I love the tint, but -1 for the cons.
Do I Recommend Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint?
Yeah! If you don’t mind the packaging that is!
Will I Repurchase Lush It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint?
Nope, I don’t think I will ever finish this one up with all the other lip balms lying around 😛 and the tub/tin packaging just puts me off!
Take care you guys, see you soon with more reviews!
