Every girl loves MAC eyeshadows as she knows that these eye shadows just make the eyes look more beautiful. So, today, I am going to review MAC Eye Shadow X 9 Dusky Rose Times Nine. Isn’t the name too cute and girly? Same is the palette. So, let’s get started.

Product Description:
A well-edited palette of dusky rose hues offering countless color combinations. It provides textures from matte to satin to frost for creating looks for both day and night. The saturated, soft and smooth shades are packaged in one pocket-sized compact for easy portability.

My Experience with MAC Eye Shadow X 9 Dusky Rose Times Nine:

Packaging: The packaging is very good and travel-friendly as it doesn’t take much space. It comes in square shape little pack with a transparent lid with MAC written on it and in a black case. It has 9 shades, as it is named. The size of the refills is smaller than the usual size.

Shades and Pigmentation: There are 9 shades in the palette. As it is named Dusky Rose, for me, the colors are a mix of dark and soft eye shadows. So, let’s go through them one by one.

First row (L to R)
1. M.A.Cnificent Me! – It is pink in color and has a matte finish with a little shimmer. It is quite light for Indian skin tones.
2. Quiet Type – Bronze in color. A dark bronze shimmer color. Good for the cut crease or shimmery smokey eyes.
3. Dance in the Dark – It is brown matte with a black undertone and has good pigmentation.

Second Row (L to R)
4. Fabulous DNA – This is also pink in color but more on the lighter side and frost one.
5. Pleasing to the Eye – This is light brown and with pink undertones. Good for daytime as well as nighttime. Looks good on both dark as well as light skin tones.
6. Sable – Bronze + gold color with shimmer.

Third Row (L to R)
7. Frankly Frosty – Light grey in color with a matte finish.
8. In My Element – A silver eyeshadow with a good amount of shimmer in it.
9. Cool Complement – It is a brown matte eyeshadow. Can be used for brown smokey eyes.

Overall: This palette is small in size but a travel-friendly one. It has a good mixture of neutral as well as dark eye shadows. The soft shades are too light and less pigmented; they don’t go well with Indian skin tones but the plus point of this palette is it can be used dry as well as wet. You need to prep your eyes for this one because the lighter shades won’t come off as they should without the primer.
