MAC Sweetie, New York Apple, Hot Gossip, Snob Lipstick Review, Swatch

Hi Everyone,

I pulled out some wearable pinks (and especially the ones that look good on Indian skin tones) from my MAC lipstick collection. I have used them quite a lot some time ago, I thought it was time I reviewed them. 🙂

MAC Lipstick Hot Gossip

• Price : Rs 1100 approx
• Finish : Creemsheen
• Color : Mid tone pinky plum / a medium mauvish pink with soft glossy sheen
• Texture : very smooth and is not overly creamy. It fades evenly.
• Longevity : around 3 hours.
• Pigmentation :medium . But you might not get a full opaque coverage if you have very pigmented lips. A neutral lip liner underneath would help bring out the color better.
• Goes Best With : everyday soft makeup
• Skin Tones : all skin tones. Might not show up too well on chocolatey skin tones.
• Fragrance : Vanilla
• Do I like It? Hot Gossip falls in the category of MAC Cosmo Lipstick, MAC Twig, MAC Mehr and it is a beautiful MLBB color especially for Indian / olive skin tones. Definitley check it out.

MAC Lipstick New York Apple

• Price : Rs 1100 approx
• Finish : Frost
• Color : Muted red with pink shimmer / a berry red with reddish shimmer that looks like a frosty sheen upon application
• Texture : smooth and you don’t feel any shimmery bits after applying the lipstick.
• Longevity : around 4-5 hours
• Pigmentation : semi opaque
• Goes Best With : all kinds of makeup looks. It’s a very versatile shade.
• Skin Tones : all skin tones
• Fragrance : Vanilla
• Do I like It? An absolutely stunning color for winters. It is very flattering shade for Indian skin tones. Especially if you are a bit scared about wearing deep reds and deep violets, try New york Apple. It’s somewhere mid way and you’d fall in love with it. 🙂 It’s a shade not for everyone but if you like reds, give this a go. It’s unique in its own way.

MAC Lipstick Sweetie 

Price : Rs 1100 approx
Finish : Lustre / soft glossy
Color : Ultra sweet pink / light medium pink lipstick with golden sheen
Texture : smooth and does not look cakey
Longevity : around 3 hours and it fades completely after that
Pigmentation : semi sheer but buildable. WOuldn’t give an opaque finish but you can pack quite a lot of color.
Goes Best With : everyday soft makeup / smokey eyes
Skin Tones : all skintones
Fragrance : Vanilla
Do I like It? a very basic everyday no brainer lipstick. Nothing special but works always. Pop it out, use it and it would always look good. 😀

MAC Lipstick Snob

• Price : Rs 1100 approx
• Finish : Satin
• Color : Light neutral pink / a blue toned whitish neon pink
• Texture : smooth but has tendency to settle in fine lines of lips. Make sure to exfoliate your lips before using Nob. Or else you can top it off with snob lipglass.
• Longevity : I have tried wearing it mostly at home for review purposes and it has satyed well for good 4+ hours before fading weirdly.
• Pigmentation : super pigmented.
• Goes Best With : dark eye makeup
• Skin Tones : light
• Fragrance : Vanilla
• Do I like It? It looks horrible on my brown skin. You have seen how cricketers lips look when they apply that white thing on their lips. That’s how it looks on me. 😛
• Rating : 2/5 for those with warm skin.  4/5 for those with light, pale skin tone
