MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick

Today I am going to review two lipsticks that have been in my stash since months now. But I never reviwed them. 😐 Anyhoo, now I am. 😀
MAC describes Velvet Teddy as deep tone beige. It is a matte finish lipstick.
It is a n*de pinky beige lipstick and I LOVE IT! My skin tone is NC 35 in MAC and Velvet Teddy shows as a perfect n*de on me. It is a completely opaque lipstick and goes on super smooth on lips. Although it is a matte finish it is very comfortable on lips and is totally non drying. It transfers very less and the staying power is more than 5 hours on me. I personally like this lipstick with dark eyes. On its own it washes out the color from my face completely and makes me look dull. The best thing I find about Velvet teddy is that even on my crappiest lips day, it does not accentuate the fine lines of my lips. It also does not get cakey. I very rarely wear gloss on top of this but a lot of neutrals and pinks look nice on this without clashing with the actual color.
It is a great go-to lipstick for those with light to medium skin tones but not so much for anyone above NC 42. It might clash with your complexion. But give this one a try at the store. Sometimes some colors work really wok well with our undertones even though they may not look that great on their own.
I personally enjoy the softness of the color and it goes both during day and night time. After Cosmo or Mehr, it’s probably Velvet Teddy that really makes me happy. 😀

So warm color loveed it, have you used any lip liners in this fotd….
i dont use lip liners in my lipstick reviews.
Rati.. lovely pics with those pearly things.. the shade is nice and very apt when you want to tlk business hehehe 🙂 nice piccy gurll..and this nude is a good shade.. not giving a washed out look.. brownie points for nicely contoured cheeks..and kohl eyes.. all this is making the shade look more tempting 🙂
