Hello pretty IMBBians!
So, very recently, I attended a morning wedding and honestly, I was a bit confused about how to go with my makeup. While statement red or marsala lips and highlighter are my go to for an evening or night event, I took a lot of time to decide, which look would go best for a morning wedding. The key is to know how much is too much and how to look gorgeous without being gaudy. As usual, I turned to Rati mam’s countless looks for help, and though I couldn’t replicate it exactly, I felt the looks were very comfortable and classy. So, whether you are a bride or a cousin, here are 5 looks you can pull off, even in the wee hours of the morning.
1. Ice on my Eyes
This Icy Shimmer Blue Holiday Eye Makeup look is super gorgeous. Before you call me crazy for choosing a glam eye in the morning wedding, let me tell you- It’s a wedding! Focus on your eyes and make it the talking point of your look. Keep your lips in an understated peachy neutral color and balance your face makeup. This can work well with all kinds of outfits, even if you are wearing a plain silk kurta. Trust this look to transform you, without making you look like overdressed.
2. Some Peach Please
This natural peach makeup look is right up the alley, who likes to steer clear of too gorgeous looks. This is a very natural, fresh look which can be recreated using basic products. The minimal colors are great for morning weddings, where you want to flaunt rosy cheeks and coral lips. The same color family approach works well in giving a beautiful yet ‘not in your face’ look, and can be worn by the low key bride too.
3. Never Say No to Glitter
Glitters and weddings are inseparable. So, who says glitters are a strict no-no for morning weddings? Not especially, if your look is as beautiful yet wearable like this Warm Pink Glitter Eye Makeup look. The glitters are not as loud as you would expect, but totally amp up a neutral look. The warmth of this look makes it my favorite and yes, bridesmaids and brides- try this look if you want to stand out, but in a good way. :p
4. Bold and Beautiful
I can totally imagine wearing this look! Just look at this extremely eye-catching look. Extended liner, a pop of color on your lips and a glowing face- there’s nothing not to love. I would love to pair this look with a nicely stitched suit or sharara set, pull my hair back and wear longggg chandelier earrings. The clip on nose ring is the icing on the cake and makes you go from ‘You look good’ to ‘You are slaying’!
5. The Kohl Route
You can never go wrong with the good old kohl and red lips. Instead of a full blown smokey eye, try a smoky winged eyeliner inspired from this festive makeup look. The soft yet beautiful eyes, combined with a bright lip make for a killer combo. A bride can easily wear this, as can her friends and sisters. If you love making buns, don’t forget to add gajra and a nice pair of chaandbalis.
