Hi girls!! Wish you a very happy and beautiful New Year!!
Wishing you hoards more makeup and may your HG skincare products :P:P
Today, I have come with a review of a product that I absolutely and wholeheartedly love! It is the Mario Badescu Vitamin C serum. Serums are concentrated skin nourishment as we all know. Vitamin C on top of it is a super amazing skincare ingredient. It is a natural and strong antioxidant and is highly recommended for evening out skin tone. In fact, it is the only vitamin that has been proven effective in reversing sun damage.
So when I came across this serum, I naturally jumped at the opportunity!!
So let’s see how this serum fared for me.
Price: INR 4620 for 30ml
Product Claims:Antioxidant Vitamin C protects skin from free radicals and is essential in collagen production. This Vitamin C Serum contains 7.5% Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) to reduce discoloration and brighten skin. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to retain skin’s natural moisture and Collagen to enhance skin’s firmness and elasticity
Directions of Use:Apply 3-4 drops on clean skin avoiding eye area every other night. May be used under a moisturizer or alone.
My Experience with the Mario Badescu Vitamin C serum:
The serum comes in an opaque green glass bottle. It has a dropper with pipette to take the product out. It has a very scientific packaging to ensure that the serum does not get oxidized and lose its benefits. The glass bottle naturally needs to be handled with care, hence travel-friendliness is an issue. I use this serum every night on a cleansed and toned face and wake up with a healthy glow on my skin.
The serum itself is like very soft dry oil. It is easy to apply and spread. On application the serum causes the skin to lightly tingle so don’t get alarmed. After 1-2 minutes it absorbs nicely into the skin giving it a dewy finish. I use the Alpha-H hydration cream on top of it and feel the combination works perfectly for me; I have a sensitive ,normal to combination skin and this did not cause any breakouts for me, which is really a blessing!
I have been using this serum for 3 weeks now and have seen and felt a genuine difference in my skin texture and tone. I feel that this serum brightens up my skin and has helped in fading pigmentation and acne-scarring.
An important point that must be noted is that this serum should be opened and closed very quickly. It should not at all be exposed to air as this, like all other antioxidants oxidizes really fast.
Summing up the pros and cons for you:
Pros of Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum:
• Good scientific packaging.
• Lives up to its claims.
• Light-weight and easily absorbed.
• Fades acne scars and pigmentation.
Cons of Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum:
• It is undoubtedly pricey, but consider this as an investment for beautiful skin.
IMBB Rating: 5/5
Final Verdict on Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum:
This product is a definite winner for me. A great product, which is although expensive, is totally worth it and a great investment for your skin. I will continue repurchasing this one unless and until it stops working for me or another miracle product comes out 😉
