The new launches from Maybelline always come up with a buzz and so did this one. These super cute and colourful wow sticks were flaunted all around on social media which made all of us rush to the counter. I saw 4 shades although Maybelline has 5 shades; I picked up the Mixed Berry one not because I love berries but because I fell in love with this vibrant packaging. Let’s see whether this new Maybelline crayon could live up-to my expectations or not!

My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow in Mixed Berry
I wanted to pick these the moment I saw a picture of them but I had to wait till the stores finally got them. I finally picked up just one to try out because I have a whole bunch of baby lips yet to be used. I am happy to see that Maybelline finally launched some adorable crayons. The Candy Wow crayon comes in a bright and girly magenta packaging with orange font all over it which adds to its cuteness.
These are fatty ones and super affordable mainly for the college-goers who do not want to use lipsticks for college. It has a twisty thing below which works fine and the quantity of this crayon is similar to that of their lip balm. These are sleek and long and hence can be carried easily around in a clutch or a hand-bag. I picked the shade called “Mixed berry” not because I am a big fan of berries but I loved the packaging! Coming to the shade, it is a super girly colour which is a pink with hints of the berry shade. I love how cute this shade is and I love to flaunt my pout all the time. It adds a very cute glow to the face making me look like a doll. The shade will suit all the complexions but won’t cover pigmented lips too well; even if it does initially the tint will start to fade after an hour. But hey, I am not complaining because we know that lip balms can’t cover pigmented lips.
One swipe does not give a visible tint; it has to be swiped 2-3 times to get a perfect poppy pout. It has an awesome drool-worthy scent of a mixed berry bubble-gum which stays till the time the lip balm stays. The texture is nothing that I would elaborate on because it is the same old formula. It is extremely buttery smooth and I like the fact it is smooth on one side and does not break on the other side when rubbed. It does not feel heavy on the lips but if you apply more than 4 coats, you surely will feel it. It gives a boost of hydration to my lips and keeps them looking healthy all the time. It might disguise the chapped portions for a while but the colour clings to the chapped portions after the lip balm starts to fade. It did not repair my lips at all because my lips are chapped a lot and corners of my lips actually tear up. So it cannot heal the chapped lips; it is a just great to create a color pop in the day time. The lip balm lasts for around 2-3 hours on me while the hydration stays for 6-7 hours and then re-application is needed. So in all, I would say that the formula is the same, the scent is similar like the electro pop range and so is the tint. But it just adds fun to this winter with the bright and new packaging, so a big yes to these!

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow in Mixed Berry?
I am not really sure about this one because I like more of pinks; I will be indulging in raspberry one as it looks like such a Barbie pink shade. Totally recommended to all who are bored of the old packaging! The formula and stuff is the same but with a new look which adds fun to winters!
I love how affordable these crayons are since all college-goers will want to flaunt their cute lips every day. Waiting to try more from the range!
