Hello ladies!

I had been gone for a while, and I am back here after finishing up with my semester end exams. That was one hell of two weeks that refused to move. I had to shun away the ‘exam blues’ and did a little shopping. I got this Baby Lips in the flavor Tropical Punch. I reviewed the shade Berry Sherbet earlier which I loved!! Let’s get to the review.

My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Tropical Punch Spiced Up Lip Balm:
The packaging is just like the other Baby Lips lip balms; a plastic color-coordinated tube with a small cap that shuts snugly. The stick can be twisted up and down, but sometimes it refuses to go down completely. The shade name is mentioned on the body of the tube as well. I miss the ‘Electro Pop’ packaging, and they are back with the old tube with this.
Tropical Punch is a bright pink which is not as pigmented as Berry Sherbet and it shows up as a subtle pink on lips with multiple swipes. But, I’ve no issues since I welcome subtle tints now and then.
The Spiced Up range has three yummy warm shades to suit the Indian skin tones, and they have an amazing fragrance. The fragrance is a sweet-spicy aroma that is really yummy, and different from the regular Baby Lips. It also has an added SPF of 20 to protect it from sun’s harsh rays. Some may find it too light, and it will not cover up pigmented lips completely.
It is super moisturizing, but it doesn’t do anything to chapped lips. But, it may be a good substitute on those ‘no-lipstick’ days, for that lovely pinky sheen it gives. Staying power is not as long as it claims, but it lasts for around 2 hours. I really do not mind re-applying, in fact I love doing it! 😀 I couldn’t resist but buy another flavor from this range, owing to the yummy flavors! This is a must get, if you’re okay with the pigmentation.
