Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks Autumn rush 265 vs Blushing Brunette 245 Review, Swatches(and a Playboy Lipstick with a similar packaging)
Colorsensational from maybelline came out last September and it was only in this September that I brought them home. That is a big achievement for lipper-holic admirer like me who had to refrain herself from getting too many of these. When I saw them at the counter last year, I liked too many of them to be bought and I could not pick and chose, I had to either bring them all home or none. A year later, I was wiser , and with a lot of choices out there and specially much better textured maybelline moisture extreme colorsensational out there, I decided to get only two of these. That’s another story that I got a lot of other maybelline moisture extremes home which I found to be smoother, more pigmented and having a better selection of colors, being mainly creamy in texture. Apart from blushing brunette and autumn rush, I liked warm me up and plumy yummy which was on the nudey brown and frosted plum side respectively, but ultimately I thought it was over between these colorsensationals as I had seen most of the shades and nothing was able to win me over other lipsticks.
This is a pretty mild peachy pink to coral shade like a mix of bright coral and pink with a very mild glaze to it . I hate the fact that it has glaze and I wanted it to be all cream and no glaze but thankfully there is no shimmer glitter in it. Everyone knows about the packaging and is al nicey nice kinds and easy to hunt in lipstick box with the names written on top, but I wont have much of a problem finding them as I have just two of these which stand out from the remaining collection :silly: the color is a soft with and average to good pigmentation and I find it moisturising too but not as creamy or pigmented as the moisture extreme or the Colorbar velvet matte ones, the packaging is definitely sturdy and wont melt so easily too, I don’t have much to complain about these, a pretty coral pink color, but the mild frost really put me off when I got it home.
All this while I was confusing this with the warm me up shade, this one is a soft brown cream shade with no frost or glitter, more towards the brown side. In one swipe it can really be an MLBB color but more than three swipes it shows up as a classic brown, it is very moisturising too but again not as creamy as the moisture extreme ones. It’s a nice color to have as u can reach this anytime without having to think about the occasion or outfit, I would wear this to grocery shopping too as it’s a nice nude brown shade .
And look what I found I saw that my playboy lipstick in my collection which had a similar packaging a pink casing just a tad bit smaller,
Don’t quote me,but I really find the moisture extreme colorsensational ones to be more pigmented, softer creamier, glossier and much better shades for me too. These are a good 4.2 grams and I agree these have a lot of choice too with many in plums, reds, browns and pinks to chose from but many of them have some kinda frost or glaze and many of them are overlapping shades. Moisture extreme one are better priced too as these are 299 and those are 225 each. Both ranges are good it is just a matter of personal preference . 🙂
