My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Metallics Lipstick Molten Bronze:

The packaging of the lipstick is common, just like all other lipsticks that belong to the “Colorsensational” range. There is only a change in the color of the cap. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper, which has necessary details about the product. The tube has a mirror finish & it closes with a long translucent black colored plastic cap. There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name and number. The brand’s tagline is printed on the lipstick tube in small black fonts. Overall, the packaging is basic and travel friendly. But, there is nothing too fancy about it.

“Molten Bronze” is a pretty burgundy brown color with lots of holographic shimmers in it. The shimmers in this lipstick are quite bigger in size and look a little chunky when observed from very near, but overall, it gives a nice metallic finish. I personally love the metallic look of this particular shade the most amongst the all. Though, the shimmers are big but it does not have a gritty texture. According to the brand, this shade is most flattering for medium skin tones and it will suit most of the Indian skin tones. The shimmers add nice dimension to the lipstick and it is a lovely shade for winters. But, it is definitely not a flattering summery color. It is definitely not an everyday shade, as it is bold, bright and has a lot of bling. Mostly the metallic finish lipstick has a crème formulation, so its matte formulation makes a difference.

Most of the shades in this range have average pigmentation. This shade has semi-opaque coverage. The color is buildable with just two swipes. It looks even on the lips and covers the pigmentation easily. It has a mild vanilla fragrance, which is barely bothersome. It is a little strong initially and fades away within a few minutes. The texture of the lipstick is soft, smooth and creamy. It glides effortlessly on the lips and does not cause any dragging, but it slightly tugs and pulls the lips, if the lips are not well exfoliated and moisturized.

It is so lightweight and feels super comfortable on the lips. It does not have a thick or heavy texture. There is no stickiness in the formula. It is neither too drying nor really moisturizing. So, I always use a lip balm beneath to keep my lips hydrated for long. The lipstick does not have creasing tendency even if it is layered on.

It does not look patchy and it does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. It does not transfer as much. The longevity of the lipstick is somewhere around 3-4 hours on my lips without having any meals. But, it does not survive heavy meals and fades away completely leaving gold shimmers all over. The shimmers look gaudy and it requires instant reapplication. It is easy to remove. The shimmers get wiped off easily and the lipstick does not have any staining issues.
