Beauty blenders have changed the makeup application game completely and I always wanted to pick up one but never got the chance. Instead of that, I got this new one by Maybelline. Guys, take a moment to appreciate the cuteness of this.

Step 1. Dab a small amount of foundation onto blender. Alternately, place foundation on the back of the hand and apply to the blender for added precision.
Step 2. Use sides to blend in a circular motion on cheeks and in an outward direction on the forehead, nose and chin.
Step 3. Use the tip for greater precision around corners and curves, such as the nose, under eyes and over eyebrows.
Step 4: To clean, rinse with water and a gentle soap or makeup remover. Let the blender dry thoroughly after use.

My Experience with Maybelline Dream Blender Foundation Blending Sponge:

The packaging is the cutest thing that I have seen in a while. The sponge is attached on the top of a plastic pipe which is nude in color and is pretty sturdy. The outer packaging has the required information regarding the product. I really did not want to use it as it would ruin the look of it.

The sponge tip is pretty sturdy I would say and is not really squishy or anything. This helps in proper application of the foundation. The base of the sponge where it is attached to the plastic pipe moves a bit, thus helping in proper application of the product. I find it works better for me when I use it wet. That way it becomes a wee bit softer and this helps in better blending of foundation.

The first usage was really painful; to see this baby all stained with foundation was not really a pretty sight. But speaking of effectiveness I would say it performs beautifully as a blending sponge. I have not used the original beauty blender but I find this very apt for precise application and reaching the corners of the face. It is not difficult to wash off as I use the “pinching method” to clean it up. Other than the availability I have no complains whatsoever. Those who are used to beauty blenders might find this to be too small but it works for me!
