My take on Maybelline Pink Rose Master Hi-Light Powdered Blush:

My L’Oreal blush is almost over so I had to get a new one; since I have a thing for pink blushes, I bought this pink rose by Maybelline. I feel bronze and coral shades don’t suit my dusky complexion so I always find myself reaching for pink blushes and they do a decent job of imparting a rosy hue to my cheeks. Let’s know more about this new addition in my vanity.

Packaging:
Product comes in a plastic pan which is then attached to a plastic case with see-through cover. The back side of the pan has a mirror and underneath it, there is space to keep a tiny brush. The packaging is not very sturdy and cover of the case is a little wobbly. However, I love how the product is pressed into the pan – three shades of pink and shimmery white are set in mosaic style.

Texture:
It is a powder blush and is liable to have some fall out, however not worth complaining. One can dab off the excess from the brush while applying to remove any loose pigment. It is very soft in texture and blends effortlessly.

Color:
Very pretty rosey hue with varying density of shimmer in each color. One of the pinks is almost matte and other three shades have tiny shimmer particles.

Pigmentation:
Awesome pigmentation. One sweep is enough for a cheek, in fact more than that might look too garish and unnatural. If one uses this product, then a highlighter is not required since it has a highlighter-like blush and is perfect for accentuating cheek bones, brow bone and Cupid’s bow.

Shimmer and shine:
It has a very pretty sheen to it but one has to exercise caution while using it or the face might end up looking too shiny, especially during summer. Also, don’t use this blush to set a cream blush underneath or it might appear too tacky.

Wear time:
Entire day or till it is removed, however, the shimmer particles might transfer a little if subjected to vigorous rubbing.

Conclusion: This is a very pretty blush which comes in 6 shades and each shade has something for every skin tone. I love this product and it is definitely worth a try.
