Since summer is only months away, I thought of reviewing an eye pencil that I recently bought, that I’m sure I’ll be wearing a lot coming summer. It is Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil in 04 Purple. Read on to know more about it.

Tips & Tricks:

Apply a thin or thick line on lower or upper lashline. With its creamy formula, this eye pencil can be easily smudged or applied on entire eyelids to create a vibrant look. Use as a base to extend the wear of your eyeshadow.

My Experience with Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil 04 Purple:

Packaging: the Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil in 04 Purple comes in a slender yet jumbo length pencil packaging. it has sort of an ombre of purple and pink going on in the packaging. It has a sturdy cap and the packaging is overall compact and travel friendly.

Shade: like it’s obvious from the name itself, it is a purple eye pencil. It is not a dark vampy purple, instead, it is a medium pink toned purple; and looks so understated and pretty on the eyes. I usually don’t wear bright liners/ kohl below my lower waterline, but since this is such a soft purple color, I wear this one usually under my waterline only. It compliments my skin tone really well and makes my eyes appear brighter and more open. It has very minute shimmer particles, though the shimmer isn’t really visible; instead the shimmer lends the eye pencil a glossiness on the whole.

Texture and pigmentation: the Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil in 04 Purple is one of the creamiest eye pencils I’ve tried. It is very smooth and the lightest touch gives great results too. It is creamy, yet pigmented enough. One swipe deposits 90% of the color, which is perfect for everyday basic makeup. This eye pencil is smudge proof, though not water proof. This eye pencil lasts on me literally the whole day. Since I don’t wear anything on my waterline, I don’t know if it irritates, but I can say that this eye pencil does not irritate my upper lid.

Pros of Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil 04 Purple:

• This eye pencil is total value for money.
• The purple shade instantly brightens up the face.
• Very creamy texture.
• The color payoff is excellent. One swipe deposits 90% of the color.
• Beautiful purple shade; can be worn on a daily basis too (I’m sure I’m going to be wearing it a lot this summer).
• Smudge proof eye pencil.
• Lasts the whole day on me.
• Doesn’t feel harsh on the eyes. It does not irritate my eyes either.
• Applies very smoothly on to the eyes.

Cons of Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil 04 Purple:

• It is not very easily available in India.
• While it is smudge proof, it is not water proof.
• Product wastage because of sharpening.

Would I repurchase/recommend Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil 04 Purple?

I will absolutely repurchase this eye pencil because I like it so much. And I do recommend it to everyone who likes to wear colored eye pencils.

Conclusion: Milani Color Brilliance Eye Liner Pencil in 04 Purple is great for everyday wear as well as for making a glam appearance. It comes in a slender, tall packaging, super creamy formula and a smooth texture. The color payoff is excellent and it lasts nearly the whole day. I don’t know what’s not to love about this!
