Following the contour of your mouth, start from the outer edges of your lips and work your way towards center of your upper lip (where the x is marked). My Experience with Milani Color Statement True Red Lip Liner:
Packaging: The lip liner comes in bright red packaging which denotes the shade. The pencils are colour coded which makes it easy to spot them. The pencil is sleek and small which makes it very handy. It is accompanied with a gold cap which remains very tight. The lip liners come at an affordable cost and are available in so many beautiful shades to choose from. The only thing that I did not like about this is the sharpening process. The lip pencil does not become pointed at any time despite of sharpening a lot. It sharpens just like it looks in the picture. And it also causes a lot of product wastage.
Shade, finish and feel on the lips: The shade “True Red” is just like the name says. The shade is a true red which looks extremely sexy and gorgeous. It brightens up my complexion instantly and adds fun to my makeup in seconds. It is one red that will look beautiful on everyone and will complement every skin-tone very well. It is neither too muted nor too bright; I just feel it is a perfect red. It is an awesome shade for parties, weddings and festive season too. The lip liner is very creamy in consistency which makes it glide very smoothly on the lips without a lot of tugging or pulling. The lip liner looks extremely matte on my lips, which makes the shade look even better. It might dry out the lips only a little unlike the other lip liners. It feels very light-weight on the lips.
Staying power: The lip liner stays on my lips for 6-7 hours with only a little colour fading every-time I eat something. It does not transfer much but only a little initially. It does not settle in fine lines nor does it cling to dry patches. It has to be removed completely with a good makeup remover. An amazing deal at this price.
