Missha Super Aqua D-Tox Peeling Gel Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

Hey lovely ladies!

Regular use of makeup and exposure to pollution leads to buildup of dead cells and clogged pores. A regular scrub cannot take away deep-rooted impurities and layers of unwanted dead cells. A miuld peel is the best answer to reveal deeper layers of skin and give you smooth and soft skin. Since Korean skincare brands are in rage, I got my first skin peel from Missha, the Korean beauty brand. Let’s see if I recommend Missha Super Aqua Peeling Gel.

Missha Super Aqua DTox Peeling Gel details

My Experience with Missha Super Aqua D-Tox Peeling Gel:

The packaging of a peeling gel does play a significant role. The product should be easily taken out with minimal use of skin contact and should have an opaque case to preserve its potency. And this D-Tox peeling gel’s packaging does well on both these fronts. The white and icy blue colored tube is opaque and has a screw-on cap. It has a nozzle to dispense the gel product, which lets you get the right amount without unnecessary squeezing. All product details including name, ingredients and directions for use are written in English and Korean. The tube is leak-proof and travel friendly. It comes enclosed in a good quality cardboard box.

Before I tell you about this product, let me brief you about my skin type. I have sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin with plenty of blemishes. I am susceptible to tanning. I have loads of facial hair, also whiteheads and blackheads, along with clogged pores are a perennial problem. Plus, I can’t go overboard with skincare as my crazily sensitive skin doesn’t love experiments. Now that you get an idea about my problematic skin, I can proceed to tell you about the benefits I got from this product. I wanted to try a peel for a long time, as I wanted to gently slough away top layer, without burning or irritating my skin.

This aqua peeling gel is lightweight with a very faint scent. It is a milky colored lotion-y gel. It doesn’t cause any tingling sensation as such on contact. I take a pea-sized amount and use for my face. On applying and rubbing gently, it causes slight tingling sensation, but no burning or irritation. I keep rubbing it with slight pressure, till I see white balls forming on the skin. Yes, it sloughs away the cells and causes formation of balls or flakes. I apply extra pressure near my nose and chin because they are my main problem areas. I wash it off with cold water after a minute or so.

Yes, my skin looks radiant and velvety smooth! You may have used hundreds of scrubs, but it’s difficult to beat the results of a peel. My skin looks radiant and soft, with reduced bumps and clogged pores. Though it didn’t help with reducing blemishes, I feel it does impart a more “even texture” to the skin. I have used it over acne and it hasn’t triggered further breakouts nor reduced them. My oily skin feels slightly dry, and I follow up with a soothing cream. For dry skin, it may be very drying, so use a deep nourishing cream. There might be slight redness, which disappears in an hour or so. Also, since your skin is extra sensitive after peeling, try to limit sun exposure or use a broad spectrum sunscreen.

I use it every week now, however, since it’s mild, you can use it twice a week or as per your skin needs. Missha D-Tox peel is a great peel with an affordable price tag!
