I am a big saver when it comes to spending on lip liners, I use them just occasionally when I can’t get a neat application from a lip product. That’s why I pick up drugstore lip liners. Today’s review is about MUA Intense Lip Liner in the shade “Caramel Nougat.” Let’s find out more about this liner.

My Take on MUA Caramel Nougat Intense Colour Lip Liner:

MUA Intense lip liner comes in a wooden pencil form, which is easy to sharpen, and there’s also a built-in sharpener provided. My earlier experience with MUA lip liners have proved that the transparent cap develop cracks, but the sharpener ever never rusts and can be used for sharpening any pencil, which a big reason that makes me pick MUA lip liners frequently. The outer color of the pencil displays the shade of the lip liner, which makes it easily searchable in the makeup stash. These beauties come sealed in a hard plastic coating.

Talking about the performance, the formula of MUA Intense Lip Liner Caramel Nougat is very soft and creamy. It is not moisturising like a lipstick but not drying either. It glides on easily without any tug but requires sharpening after 2-3 uses for a sharp and precise tip. The shade “Caramel Nougat” is a n*de/skin color shade. I will not complain about the pigmentation; I found it decently intense, it’s just that the shade itself is very light in intensity. The benefit of keeping a n*de lip liner is that one can pair it up with several lip shades and that will just work!

MUA Intense Lip Liner in “Caramel Nougat” not only makes my lipstick application neat and tidy, it also keeps my lip color in place for long and increases the wear time to some extent. It’s also a preferable “wear alone” lip product because the shade is n*de and doesn’t profusely show up on lips.

Caramel Nougat can also be used as a base coat for lips to extend the staying power of creamy lipsticks. This lip liner has parabens, which makes it not an ideal product for me to use as a “wear alone” lip shade.
