MUA Extreme Metallics Eyeshadow Quad Go Getter

Today I will be writing about an eye shadow quad from MUA. The quad is from their extreme metallics line and the shade I have is called Go Getter. This is my second quad from their Extreme metallics line and I completely love the way they look. Unfortunately the other quad that I bought broke and so all the 4 colors got mixed up.

Packaging: the quad comes in a square shaped black packaging with a transparent lid. Transparency of the lid helps to recognize the colors as well as makes it look beautiful on the vanity. I personally am a huge fan of products that need not to be open for color identification. The lid is sufficiently sturdy and travel friendly, but I do face some problems while opening the lid due to my long nails. The lid is little tight and so some efforts are required to open it up.

My take on the MUA Extreme Metallics Eyeshadow Quad Go Getter

Starting with the colors, all the four colors belong to the neutral family ranging from a light peachy cream to a deep brown. First color is a light peachy cream which gives pink undertones after blending. The color does not exactly have shimmer particles (except very few that becomes visible rarely). After proper blending the color almost becomes invisible and the only thing that remains visible is the metallic sheen it imparts to the eyes. It is an ideal highlight color especially for those who love shiny looking colors as highlights.

Second color is a shade of silver with grey undertones and I am saying this because it doesn’t seem to be perfect silver either on eyes or in the pan. This color is filled with minute sized shimmer particles and looks extremely metallic. It’s a beautiful color that can be used to brighten up the eyes especially during a party.

Third color is a light bronzey brown with no shimmers; all it has is a shine. This is the only color in the quad that I can think of using as a complete lid color. This color completely complements the other 3 colors in the quad. The forth and the final color of the quad is a dark brown which being the darkest color can be used at the crease or at the outer corner. The color contains some minute sized golden shimmer particles which become almost invisible when the color is applied.

The pigmentation of all the four colors is amazing, the darkest brown being the most pigmented one. There is almost no fallout in the colors except of the second color (silver-grey) which might shed some shimmer particles on application. Texture wise, all the colors are very smooth to apply and all of them are easy to blend too. The colors do not crease till the time they stay on the lids. The staying power of the colors is not amazing but is not bad too. The colors stay as fresh as applied for 2 hours, after which they start to fade (especially if you have oily lids). This problem can be sorted out by using a good primer underneath.

Overall, for me it is an excellent product with a decent price and amazing quality and pigmentation.

Yes! Not in this color of course, but I would definitely try some other shades from their collection.
