  6. :rotfl: :rotfl: You know, the doubt that you had ab out mixing eyedrops with castor oil comes to my mind again and again and I laugh over it whenever each time I think about it…….pictured you struggling to mix ciprofloxacin with castor oil and then applying hte mixture on to your hair…. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :silly: :rotfl:

  9. Rashmi
Enviable collection to say the least! πŸ™‚ and great tips…

My credit card loves MAC and glides easily there :p but damn their ‘rich’ quality – it never finishes or goes away πŸ™‚ I have been having 2-3 shades for more than 4 yrs now – fortunately its not spoilt yet! how do u manage to use them anyways! πŸ™‚

[whats the PTM in your name? just curious :)]

    Rati
Sorry i had disappeared after a few comments a month back. was travelling for work.
[the only thing that kept me sane – apart from meeting a few of my family while travel – are the MAC and Lush Stores πŸ™‚ that i dont have immediate access to here, in Pune]

    1. hey dear gaea …
i dont usually wear e/s m married in maharshtrian family and they r sooo simple so never much of the makeup …
i use them once in a while although hubby loves them …
PTM in my name is punjabi turned marathi thanks to yahoo chat room where me n my hubby dev met 10yrs back aahhhh it was his first chat and mine also…

      1. sweet suweet! me liking ur history and that nick name of urs πŸ™‚ 10yrs – congrats & wish u more – inter cultural marriages are definitely a feat!
happy to learn this probly cos i myself am quite an amalgamation – born with andhra origins, lived in TN, most cousins in karnataka, married a bihari and living now in maharashtra :p
i do understand what you are saying about maharashtrian’s take on make-up – in fact it gets stronger as you go down south. I get comments in the lines of “you look ghostly” when i deck up – even for a family wedding occasion back amongst my tamil relatives!
but then surprisingly i hear that MAC shops in Chennai and Hyd sell extremely well – wonder where it all goes! :p
        good to know you Rashmi!

  10. Hey Idrops Rashmi……wow…what a story…..it seems I am the only one with the mundane arranged marriage…..its so mushy….on the lines of “you have got mail” and that too 10 years ago and 10 years of marriage in today’s times when marriages dont even last for 10 months….way to go, Rashmi….. :-))

  11. Hey Gae…..you are correct about south indian’s aversion to makeup…..not much of makeup here….MNC’s have brought along a few stores here….but thats it…you wont find an average college going girl with much makeup except may be the eyeliner……but thhats it….. πŸ˜€

    1. oh but thats changing..u should go to oberon mall at ernakulam on a friday weekend and most of the gals will be walking around wearing hot pink lippies and sometimes blue and green shadows….LOL…it is funny actually the way some gals look…
      .-= fathima´s last blog ..Giveaway – IMBB =-.

  12. ok i never get jealous of people’s makeup but i officially AM at the moment! i would kill to have a 15 palette of my own, FILLED! you have some pretty popular and nice colours in your collection, a couple that i want myself. carbon and vanilla are like staples and it’s said that you must have both. i’ve reserved those for later, i’ll build my collection with bright colours that i absolutely love. πŸ˜€
.-= Rima Kaur´s last blog ..Beneath The Smiles =-.

    1. i was thinking whole day where is rima and ki … hey i got this idea after reading ur comments the other day

      love
      rashmi

  13. Ah! My heart feel light, at least Im not the only person making a dent in my husband’s wallet..lol, great post Rashmi, and I loved seeing your collection, I visited MAC for the first time couple of weeks back and the SA showed me a couple of e/s shades but I was’nt convinced abt any of the colours she showed me, now I know better :), which MAC store do you ‘haunt’ here in Mumbai, Ill look for u next time I go πŸ˜€

    1. wow renuka thanks re for lovelly comments
i go to every mac n they pretty much know me well
but this store manager at kemps corner billy knows me very well
and i go to juhu most of the time and there is this girl deepa who knows me …
u tell me m going in 1 – 2 days or may be sat
      we will meet there

  14. Thx Rashmi, ur very sweet, altho I guess I will have to wait awhile before I can plunder my husband’s account again (the pangs of guilt are still fresh), especially since he will have to babysit our son too (a major task for DH ).. I have only gone to the MAC store at Phoenix mills coz thats the closest to me, I didnt know they had a store at Kemps corner too

  15. Wow collection Rashmi..!! Shimmer moss, rice paper, passionate… *drools*

Hey is the quality of the quads and the singles same..?? and how much are the quads for..??

Next post of yours SHOULD be an eye makeup tutorial… im eagerly waiting for it..!!!

    1. thanks priyanka ofcourse the quality are same in e/s
the only thing in which u could expect a difference in quality are brushes and travel set brushes…
the quads are nearlly 650/- rs (empty) i hope m not wrong …
and then you buy 4 e/s for 625/- each this was the price i last bought i think they have increased it …
total for a quad – 3150/- oohhhhh pretty expensive
      i bought for $ 49 + tax ….

  16. That is such an awesome collection Rashmi…and I am definitely “J”

I have never considered MAC in terms of eyeshadows, but now I am πŸ™‚ and thank you for that.

One thing I would like to tell you is that you have a lovely eye for colours..or atleast my type ka colours..

Waiting for more posts filled with love, lipglosses and painpots.

  17. Hi Rashmi,
I’m a recent MAC addict and i wanted to build my first 15 color e/s palette…was tryin to find colours for indian skin tone and after maybe 2 months of searching got this post!!!You’ve gt beautiful colors in ur palette…pls advice…soba or cork/embark or espresso/nocturnelle or trax/satellite dreams or stars and rocket/Honesty-bamboo or motif….i need it for this weekend so if u cud help….i would be immensely grateful…and pls review blushes and lipglosses if u can πŸ™‚
My fixed colors are Amberlights,Woodwinked,Shroom,Ricepaper.Club,Expensive pink,Swish,Sketch,Cranberry and Humid.

    1. hello san
      thanks dear for appreciating …
embark is def more beautiful its a matte so thumbs up for color pay off
for browns – espresso (its a matte and we usually use it for crease so definatelly its a must)
for purples- i would say go for FIG 1 (better then nocturella) its still available in india so get ur hands on that and with that go for satellite dreams and see parafait amour also ….
u said trax (its burgendy plum).. why not plum dressing (its pink plum) very beautiful …
bamboo is matte and motif is frost both are beautiful see ur personal liking i would have gone for bisque sorry for unwanted advise but pls look at that also …
after reading ur fixed colors i would say why isnt gorgeous gold there its a beautiful olive gold will go with humid i think …

      happy shopping
and there is my blush post …
