The Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Balm
Winters means a great season to shop for lip balms and body lotions. I spotted this lip balm and I really liked the packaging and went ahead to buy it. This was one impulsive buy and I bought it without any second thoughts. After using this, I am sure I am going back to buy the chocolate and mint flavored one. Read on to know more.
Mango Butter : 2%
Castor Oil : 5%
Vitamin E : 0.5%
Kokum Butter : 4%
What the product Claims:
Moisturizing; Softening; Soothing.
Soft, luscious moisturized lips are what our Black currant Lip Balm provides. An all natural formula, it protects and softens lips. Apply directly to your lips as often as required.
My experience with the Natures co Black currant lip balm :
The lip balm retails in a very cute tub packaging. I don’t prefer tub packaging for lip balm as it is unhygienic and messy but I really liked this different case a lot and bought it. I am happy to buy a product from a brand that is purely vegan and that does not test on animals.
This lip balm is of black currant flavor, the moment you open the lid there is a burst of black currant flavor. If you like fruit flavored lip balms then do check this one. The lip balm does super moisturizing with all the good butter ingredients. After the lip balm goes off in 2 to 3 hours of application, the effect remains for a long time and lips are nicely moisturized. It effectively cures chapped lips too. If this balm was a bit tinted, I am sure it would have been in my top list of lip balms.
The texture of this lip balm is little different from others, it is very soft and the balm is not sticky. It is non-tinted thus making it ideal for applying before lipstick or for girls who don’t like any color for lip balms ( Not sure though if there are people who don’t like color on lips 😛 ). Full ingredient list is not mentioned so really can’t judge the contents of paraben or any harmful chemicals in it.
Pros of the Nature’s Co. Black currant Lip Balm:
• Pretty packaging.
• It effectively moisturizes lips.
• It heals chapped lips.
• It is non sticky or greasy.
• Non-tinted can come helpful before applying a lipstick.
• Purely Vegan and free from animal testing.
Cons of the Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Balm
• Tub packaging is unhygienic.
• The strong black currant fragrance may be a con to some, but I love it.
• No full ingredients mentioned.
• The lip balm doesn’t have any color tint.
• No SPF protection.
Will I repurchase and do I recommend the Nature’s Co. Black currant Lip Balm?
Yes, I would like to try other flavors. Overall, this is a very nice moisturizing lip balm. If you don’t mind the tub packaging and a lip balm free from color tint then you can try this one.
