Nivea Watering Lemongrass Lip Balm Review

Lip balms are staple and no wonder I grabbed a few in my recent haul. This review is about the fairly new launch by Nivea and they have variants in this range. Lemongrass was intriguing to me as I have rarely come across balms with this fragrance. So here goes my review for the same.

My Experience with Nivea Watering Lemongrass Lip Balm:

The packaging is simple, cute and slender. Twist up style is definitely preferred over tub packaging any day. The translucent cap shuts with a click and can be easily carried in the makeup pouch. I personally like the green tube as it screams summer. The price, ingredients are mentioned on the outer packaging.

The texture is ultra smooth and glides on lips like butter. There is no gritty feel to the balm. It does not make the lips shine like a gloss; I like such not-so-glossy lip balms as they tend to slip and feel too oily. It works great as a prepping lip balm as well. It heals the lips and instantly hydrates the lips for an even application of lip color. Since I am high on matte lip colors these days, I always want something that works fast and well on the lips and this is a good option for the same.

The fragrance is pleasant and not overpowering. It does not smell synthetic and even if you are not a big fan of such fragrance, not to worry, it stays for a while. I have used this lip balm as a night time balm and I am super happy with the results. It not only keeps the lip moisturized it heals cracked lips also. Even if the balm wears off after a couple of hours the hydrating effect remains for a very long time. Overall this is a winner product for me and I hope these variants come to India soon.
