My Experience with NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Gold Rush:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product – the highlighter comes in a sleek, lip gloss kind of a plastic tube. The tube is transparent and can be easily spotted in your makeup stash. It has a typical glossy screw-on type cap that shuts tightly making it leak-proof and travel friendly. It cap has a typical doe-foot applicator that helps to easily apply the product. The applicator is soft and very gentle. The tube bears product-related information on it. The shade name and ingredients list are printed on the side of the tube. I like the tube packaging, as it is very small and easy to carry. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.

“Gold Rush” is a nice coppery-gold kind of a shade. It would be suitable for medium to deep skin tones. This highlighter is a blend of fine golden and copper colored microshimmers. The shimmers look subtle upon blending and do not look over the top. The shade goes well on my skin tone with a sun-kissed makeup look. I love the glow it gives to my skin. Though the shimmers do not transfer around, but they budge a little upon touching the face. The highlighter is lovely for everyday use and looks subtle even during daytime. The highlighter is not too shimmery or insanely pigmented hence one has full control on building up the intensity of the highlighter. This makes it a great choice for beginners as well. The product sets pretty quickly, so I have to be very quick while blending it into the skin. It does not emphasize large skin pores and looks nice on the skin.

It blends beautifully with fingers and imparts the impression of naturally-glowing skin. I found this highlighter pretty easy to blend, it never emphasizes the dry patches on the skin. It is decently pigmented and easily buildable. Though, it has crème formula, it does not make my skin greasy nor it leave any residue behind, but if your skin is super oily, you need to powder your skin a little to avoid that oily sheen on the skin.

The texture is nice and smooth. It is kind of creamy and blends effortlessly on the skin. People with dry skin will love it for sure as this does not cling to the dry patches of the skin. The texture is so lightweight and non sticky. I have combination-oily skin and it does not make my skin oily at all. Overall, it is for suitable all skin types. It suits my sensitive skin well and does not break me out. I am currently obsessed with this range of highlighters from NYX and these have become my favorite. I have been using them quite often and I have not faced any skin issues with them so far. The lasting power is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my skin, which is again impressive for a drugstore brand.
