My Experience with NYX Cobalt Jumbo Eye Pencil:

The eye pencil comes in a sharpenable form, which can be sharpened easily. The pencil is white is color with the details mentioned in black fonts. There is a clear cap which does not fit very tightly and feels as if it might slip off; it does not slip, though. The pencil itself bears all the product related details. The pencil does not come with any sharpener.

The shade “Cobalt” is a gorgeous bright blue shade with silver glitters in it. The shimmers in the eye pencil look a little chunky but it is totally a matter of personal choice. The pencil can be used both as an eye shadow and eyeliner. These pencils can be used in different ways. But, I personally do not prefer to apply such glittery eye pencil on my waterline. The shade is fresh and vibrant. It gives a nice pop of color to the eyes. The color pay off is great. These eye pencils are very pigmented but still 2-3 swipes are required to build up the color.

The formula is extremely creamy. It feels almost buttery but the glitters give it a slightly gritty texture. It glides smoothly all over the eyelids without much dragging of the eyelids. The formula is very creamy and blends effortlessly but too much blending results in fading of the color. Being extremely creamy in texture, this eye pencil creases so badly. Multiple swipes are required to make the color pop, but layering results in creasing. So, I feel it fails to be used as an eye shadow due to its creasing issues.

But yes, it can be used as an eye shadow base for making your eye shadow of similar shade look more intense and to increase the longevity of the eyeshadow. It is not smudge-proof. It easily smudges even with a slight touch. It can be smudged with light strokes when used as an eyeliner. I have used NYX Cobalt and Black Bean in the EOTD below. The staying power is approx. 4 hours and the color looses its intensity with time. Removing the eye pencil is pretty easy but the shimmers left behind require a little effort. Overall, I am not much impressed with the quality of the product.
