NYX ES 60A Yellow Funk Eyeshadow Review

I am back to reviewing some eyeshadows and today I have the shade “Yellow Funk” up for review from NYX cosmetics.

Product Description:

My Experience with NYX ES 60A Yellow Funk Eyeshadow:

Packaging: NYX single eye shadow comes in a cute little rectangular packaging with a transparent opening that lets you see the shade clearly. It opens and shuts with an audible click. Once locked, it wouldn’t open up in your bag or purse. I like the simple packaging.

Color/Pigmentation:  “Yellow Funk” is a very bold yellow shade. To be honest, I don’t know why I picked up this shade. It’s a very chalky color and the pigmentation is very low, but you can use it wet or build up the colour to intensify the look!

Texture: This eye shadow is very soft and smooth. It’s extremely finely milled and you can feel the chalkiness as soon as you swipe the shadow. It causes a lot of fallout since it is so chalky and powdery, but it blends in very easily.

Staying Power:  It stays on my lids for 4-5 hours without a primer though I think a primer would extend the staying power by another 2-3 hours.

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of NYX ES 60A Yellow Funk Eyeshadow:

• Pretty shade.
• Blends very easily.
• Nice packaging.
• Decent staying power.

Cons of NYX ES 60A Yellow Funk Eyeshadow:

• Staying power is not that great.
• Expensive.
• Not pigmented enough.
• Powdery texture.

I like the colour, but I wish it was more pigmented!
