Hello gorgeous ladies,

First of all, I would like to take a minute here and thank all the lovely ladies who devote time and effort in replying to my posts and encouraging me by their comments. A huge “Thank You” to all of you 😛 I recently reviewed two new high-definition blushes by NYX in the shade “Intuition” and “Crimson.” Today, I would like to share with you my thoughts on the shade “Hamptons.”

My Experience with NYX Hamptons High Definition Blush:

Packaging:  NYX HD blush comes in a slim and sleek black compact with a cute ribbon closure which is the signature NYX bow clasp. The blush weighs 0.16 oz in size. I think that the amount of product you get is quite generous for the price of just 8 dollars. All in all, I love NYX’s new packaging!

Color: The shade “Hamptons” is a peachy neutral shade that does not contain any glitter or shimmers at all. This is a pure matte blush and does not have a sheen or glow to it. This is a perfect shade for daily wear and will look very natural on fair to medium complexions, but for beauties with dusky skin tones, this will not show up on the skin much.

Pigmentation: This blush is medium pigmented – not too much like the other variants of the NYX HD blushes and also not too light to not show up on the skin. In the swatches, the colour does not show up quite well, but on the skin it is that perfect peachy blush for a natural subtle look.

Texture: The texture of these blushes is super powdery. NYX calls this blush “silky,” but it isn’t quite silky to me! It is sure powdery, but not dry nor chalky. And since it’s so powdery, it tends to pick up a lot of product in the brush and end up being so pigmented on the cheeks.

Longevity: Also, the staying power is extremely impressive. The wear is incredible at around eight hours without fading. I can easily get a full day’s wear from both of these shades, even on my oily skin.

Quality: Overall, I would say these blushes have excellent price, good pigmentation, excellent staying power, but the texture of these blushes is quite powdery in my opinion. They are extremely powdery during application, though not powdery-looking on the skin and quite fragile.  So, I am a bit iffy about this blush, but I think I can make it work.

Pros of NYX Hamptons High Definition Blush:

  • Awesome packaging with pretty bow details,
  • Gorgeous peachy shade.

  • Super long lasting.

Cons of NYX Hamptons High Definition Blush:

  • Not suitable for richer complexions.
  • Not available in India.

IMBB Rating:
4./5

Would I Recommend/Repurchase NYX Hamptons High Definition Blush?
Although the NYX HD Blushes are cheap, super pigmented, and long wearing, I’m just not terribly impressed with them. The formula just didn’t really do it for me! If you can grab some on sale, you might want to check them out, but personally, I think there are a lot of other budget blushes around that perform better. It’s up to you to decide ladies 🙂
