I have been really enjoying this Banana powder of late. I think it is meant to dupe the famous Ben Nye Banana powder. Read on to find out more.
The product comes in a compact-like, black plastic container with a see-through lid. If you are taking this on-the-go, then you will need to carry a separate brush or sponge. There is 8 g of product in the container.

This product is a very finely milled pressed powder and is smooth to the touch but is quite powdery. It mattifies well and spreads on the skin well.
This powder is intensely pigmented. Even though this is a yellow-toned powder which should work wonderfully for warm-toned skin, if you go a little overboard, it can look ashy on tan to deep skin. So, I think it is important to take a little and tap off the excess off the brush before applying this. But it is really really good to highlight. Since this product contains Mica and Titanium Dioxide (but not Silica), I am not sure about flash back. Unless you are getting photographed in flash, I would not worry about using this powder.
I have very fine lines underneath my eyes and nothing seems to stop creasing like ELF HD Setting Powder. That stuff is gold! This doesn’t do the same thing for my under-eye area as the ELF one but it works for the rest of my face well. I use it either the Real Techniques Powder brush or Multi Task brush with this product and only apply it in my T-zone.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. This lasts about 4-5 hours on my combination skin before I feel the need for touch up.
Pros of NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana:
• Yellow-toned – perfect for warm skin tones.
• Highlights very well.
• Mattifies & sets make up.
Cons of NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana
• Does not prevent creasing if you have a lot of fine lines under the eyes – I recommend the ELF HD Finishing Powder instead.
• Can create flashback.
IMBB Rating – 4/5
Would I Recommend NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana?
I would recommend this for everyday use and especially for people with warm toned skin. It is a good way to highlight features of the face without use of shimmer. I believe shimmer to highlight works better in photos/videos rather than everyday.
